Can't tell you how many times that happened to me last year. Drive from St Augustine to the WPB/Jupiter area and get blown out. Thankfully had some good friends to stay with so it was still a nice weekend :D

Bob has always done a wonderful job of this with newer divers. I know that after I started diving again (after a 20+ year break) I dove with him many times, had my share of assorted problems.. and learned a great deal from him an dthe others that he set me up with. So Bob, here's to you...

Gads, I miss the Puget Sound area..... While warm water is nice (after 18 months in Florida) I am now in South Carolina. At least the water is a tad bit cooler-- and the aqua life is said to be much better (game fish wise) than Fl. Maybe someday I will let the lazy B coerce me back.... nah...

I wouldn't disagree regarding Rainbow River. Only did it once but it was by far a more relaxing, idyllic dive. Not that many people, many different things to see and touch. Rather amazing to see the sand boils and realize what was happening :D Just don't remember how much of a hike it is...
