Hi Jeremy,
Two days before the rain the water was very clear. I dove from a boat at the edge of the west two mile creek channel and the west edge of the chattahoochee channel. The water was still warm above the thermocline with viz around 15 feet.
When ya going to dive, dude?
I am getting acquainted with my new DC800 with pro strobe. Can someone give me any guidelines for aiming the strobe? Seems like I am not getting consistent illumination on 2 to 4 foot shots.
Thanks
Hey Folks,
I'm back in town. Ike turned North so my family did not have any damage. We boarded up the house on Thursday and took it all down on Saturday afternoon. It's still way better than a direct hit.
So, who is on for this D&D Saturday? Where?

Looks like the 13th was not a good idea, after all. Ike is heading for my elderly in-laws' front door. I will be flying to Texas tonight to help them during the storm Saturday.
Setting another date would probably be a good idea. It would help if someone started a new thread with the date...
I suggested Sept. 13 to get things going. It doesn't matter to me what day it is on. Perhaps someone should start a new thread with the date and place in the title.

Date and place?
How about Two Mile Park on September 13th? Places to rest and grill. Those with boats can motor there. Boarding won't be more than a short swim if necessary. Shore divers can easily dive there.
Hey, Lone Frogman can bring his new grill to cook on!! :-)

I have found the same thing to be true, Stiltwalker. It is amazing how much boats stir up the lake on weekends. It's good to hear you found stuff to see.
Two good dives yesterday. We went to the Chattahoochee Red Marker 8 again and found 20' viz at 35 to 40 foot depths. Surface to thermocline viz was 10 feet, but viz from 21' to 25' was only about 2 feet. Saw an umbrella rig on the bottom that looked to be new. Enjoyed looking around...
