    2021 Bonaire roll call

2 groups in Sep/Oct 2 weeks each- Habitat and Sand Dollar. AA, Delta and maybe United, although they have said they will not return to BON until November. Several of us bought AA cheap a few months ago. Now brutally high! We are hopeful that things will steadily improve for Bonaire travel...

Captain Don's Habitat Bonaire for beginner diver and non diver

Bonaire does have some nice beaches, just not at a resort. Captain Don's has a beach that they jokingly call "7 Body Beach" referring to 7 Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. We have stayed there about 30 times over the years and still love the shore dive out front. We also do boat dives with them and...

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III

JAR is likely referring to off-times such as waay early hi tides and during the week, etc.--wife went yesterday--conditions still 10-20 ft viz and about 80 degrees with sand in the water column.

Maybe this will help drive airfares down

On Jet Blue's website--there is a place to request new routes. I have done so several times. Ft Lauderdale--Bonaire would be ideal--Ft Lauderdale--Curacao would help a lot. I'm going to make a request right now! Go Jet Blue-TO Bonaire! Thanks for your Aruba Air report Ricardo.

    West Palm Beach Recommendations

Pura Vida is adjacent to the shallow critter rich diving at Blue Heron Bridge. The shop has guides available if needed. PV also does a very popular black water night ocean dive, shallow but over deep water. Both the bridge and black water are a macro shooters paradise.

    Dive Hut Bonaire

I've not stayed at Dive Hut, but have felt for years that it would meet my needs. Another place to consider is Black Durgon Inn. It is north of town on a nice divesite--Small Wall. Downside is, they only provide 3 tanks a day with packages. Stayed there twice. They have a very nice shared...

    Cost to dive Bonaire

Black Durgon does have a "vacationer" deal at $309./week/person room and breakfast. 3 tanks are not adequate for most plus one needs to tote'em from street level down to the dock. Stayed there twice, really liked the lounge area! In looking just now, I don't even see a diver price--just the...

I didn't pay much attention to the airfare threads till I noticed

If one uses this as a reason for scheduling air transport that might fly as opposed to air transport that will certainly fly--why travel to Bonaire at all? I don't know if you've experienced this luggage problem or not, or are you simply putting this out there in the place of knowledge...

I didn't pay much attention to the airfare threads till I noticed

Why book Insel at all? Divi Divi Air is the reliable connection between Bonaire and Curacao--they usually fill their planes, but worth a shot for a future flight. Book and pay online. Insel is NOT the first choice here--they may be out of business by the time you go....
