Hello Texas,
Anyone have any recommendations for a local shop for annual gear service? I've been here a few years but moved from Dallas where Scubatoys was my goto shop for everything. I miss being so close to them. I'm looking in the areas of Canyon Lake, San Antonio, New Braunfels, or San...
A BCD is such an important piece of your gear. I was very lucky and my original BCD fit perfectly and the tank didn't hit my head. I loved it but it was stolen and is not longer on the market. Since then I have gone through 2 BCDs that were very uncomfortable for me. I would recommend asking...
Hello ladies. Home from the Philippines. The polish lasted the entire trip! I'm sold. It was so nice not to have to worry about it and they looked nice for three weeks with 49 dives!
For others needing a similar recommendation, I am diving this week in the Philippines using my new Bare Velocity 5 mill wetsuit and it had been very warm. Like TjRjn said, the initial buoyancany issues take a bit getting used to. But worth it to be warm.
I might investigate the back plate. I am from the states and I have never seen anyone diving with s back plate in the Caribbean. However, I am in the Philippines this week and have seen several.
I ended up buying the Zeagle Lazer but having similar issues. It is too long, the cummerbund sits...
Heading to PG in one week. Nice trip report!!
What was the water temp last month? Trying to gather what it might be next week, 74 or 79. Hoping for the latter or warmer.
I love my original Cressi Frogs. I just purchased the Cressi Master Frogs and while very light, the are longer than what I am used to. I second the earlier post that some of us are posting as experienced divers. However I started with the original Cressi frogs and they were great from my first...
Thanks ladies. Morecowbells - I did my nails once with gel also and will never do that again, but might try the toes. Figure they will be in boots the rest of winter anyways, so I can live with the brittle toe nails until spring rolls around. :) Wingy - funny and all good points. Problem is I...
Hello ladies,
Going to the Philippines for 3 weeks of diving next week. Has anyone attempted gel polish for the toe nails for such a long trip? A runner friend of mine says it works great for her consistently wet toes.
Thanks and Happy Diving in 2015!!!
Hi divesteve,
Thanks for the info. Actually the Ladyhawk was the other one I was investigating but Scubatoys no longers sells Scubapro and since they are doing the exchange for me I have to stay in lines they sell, which has me firmly in the Zeagle camp right now. :)
Thanks to everyone for the...
Hi Colliam7,
Thanks for the info.
I had not seen the Express tech because my filter was on Female BCDs. My travels are all warm water, so 24lbs lift should be sufficient. I looked it up just now and it looks interesting. But by the time I add the things I want, I think the weight will end...
I'm considering the Zeagle LaZer BCD and would like to hear how everyone likes their Zeagle BCDs in general and if you have a Lazer, I would love to hear what you like and dislike about it, especially from the women who have or have had the LaZer.
A little background... All my gear was stolen...
AdivingBel - thank you. Good to know it travels well. It's just a tab bit heavier than the Reef Rider I had and most of my other new gear is lighter than my original stuff, so it probably balances out. Good to know it's heavy duty, sounds like really good material. Thanks for the feedback!
Hello Ladies,
Need your feedback. I'm considering the Zeagle Lazer BCD and would like to hear how everyone likes their Zeagle BCDs in general and if you have a Lazer, I would love to hear what you like and dislike about it.
A little background... All my gear was stolen last year on a return...
