    completely wrong?

would it be completely un-adviseable to buy a used bcd off ebay? i would like to build my equipment list, but equipment is so expensive, that i'm looking for alternatives. does the dive community suggest to always buy new (like climbing gear)? or do others buy used also?

i've been pricing bcds online and at shops around town. of course i've found the best deals online (same exact equip, mind you)... about two-fiddy less. the only re-tort my lds manager could give is that the manuf. will only validate the lifetime warranty if i buy it from an authorized dealer...

I was on the bottom for about 45 min. and had a blast. I decided to make it a free dive, so my buddy and I just randomly swam around...

I know technology make life easier - plus it's just plain fun. I'm considering a dive computer, but need some input/advice on what is "neat" vs. "useful". My dive experience is average... I'm not a technical diver, but learning. Any concensus on which comp. is more worth the money...

    My first successful saltwater dive!!

Two weeks ago I went to Kauai. After two previous failed attempts at boat diving and a healthy dose of bonine I did it. I completed my first saltwater dive. It was very lathargic, breathtaking, and addictive (the dive, not the bonine). I can't wait till my next opportunity!

    Hey from AmarilloGorilla

scuba is not cheap, but well worth any penny you spend. anything you do get will last quite some time. owning your own gear will make your dives so much easier and comfortable. it is such an exhilerating feeling to be under the water and look up... realizing that you are in a completely...
