    Myrtle Beach scuba Diving

I had a chance to visit this shop for the first time last weekend. They seem like real nice folks. I think I'm gonna try to make the trek down there a few times this season to get some dives in with them.

    Great service! Thanks

I too have had good experience with service. I had a broken snap on my speargun bag, and Armor sent the part to my LDS super fast. Thanks!

    Worst dive trip ever!!

I'm a little late coming into this one, but I can tell everyone without reservation that Capt Tom runs a quality operation. I've always had a great time on his charters, but then again I wasn't expecting a lot of handholding either.

    Moving to NC

It's true that almost all the diving around here is done from boats. The single popular salt-water shore dive is at Radio Island, between Morehead City and Beaufort. Otherwise, save your nickels and dimes for the boat rides. :)

    USS Indra

Here's a little more: Olympus Dive Center - Wreck Diving DDC Dive Sites History of The USS Indra (ARL-37) Basically, the Indra is the standard destination for most of the half-day charters out of Morehead City and Beaufort. Also, some of the charters use the Indra as their second dive after...

Trucker Girl sighting in Wilmington NC?

The weather is not cooperating. From the NOAA forecast: The dive shops usually cancel trips when a small craft advisory is up. They're funny that way. :D

    finally making it to morehead

Yes. Yes. My favorites are U-352, Papoose, Aeolus, Caribsea and Atlas. Usually your destination is determined after you are already under way, so you may not get to pick and choose. Have fun!

    Exposure ??mm for NC Diving

Given the choice between the two, I'd bring the 7mm. A 3mm shorty just won't cut it in May. Frank

    Uss Tarpon

You might have a tough time getting a ride out there on a commercial dive boat unless you're willing to charter the whole boat. The Tarpon is in a seldom visited area, and when the boats do go out there, they're usually headed to the Proteus or British Splendour.

    Visiting Charlotte, where to dive?

You're best option would probably be Aquatic Safaris ( http://www.aquaticsafaris.com/ ) in Wilmington. You'd have a good chance of seeing a sandtiger on almost any of the longer wreck trips, especially the John D. Gill .
