    Budget Komodo Liveaboard?

We looked at Divine Diving. Unless the schedule posted on their site is wrong, they're only doing 3 and 4 day trips with a two day break in between each cruise. So I can't back-to-back them to get something that meets our desires.

    Budget Komodo Liveaboard?

I am in the process of planning a trip to Bali and am looking to book a liveaboard in Komodo in September 2015. We are a group of three adults and are looking for a 6-7 day trip. Ideally, we would like to keep the price per person for the liveaboard (excluding flights, park fees, tips, and...

Logistics Question: Blue Angel Shore Diving

Upcoming trip to Cozumel and I have a logistics questions. Previously, we've stayed and dove with Blue Angel and I'm a fan of their shore dive. Great for a check out dive at the beginning of the trip and a good opportunity to work on my photography. This trip, we're diving with Blue Angel but...

Topside Activities in Southern Leyte and Surrounds?

Thanks for the info! Sounds like it may be a good option for what we want. We're flexible in timing so definitely looking to go during whale shark season. I'll take this back to the gang for them to discuss. Good to hear that there are some interesting topside options. I'll continue...

Topside Activities in Southern Leyte and Surrounds?

I'm starting to try to put together our vacation for 2014 and the Philippines is one of the destinations we're considering for our first trip to Southeast Asia. We're probably looking at a two week trip and would like to spend about one week diving and the other doing topsiside activities...

    Bonaire Trip Report: 25 May - 1 June, 2013

I've seen many eagle rays in the past. I'm about 99% positive this one was a manta. Per the folks at BDA, there are three of them that have been seen around the island this winter/spring. Fortunately, I had the camera on this dive and the (not great) photo was the only way the rest of my...

    Bonaire Trip Report: 25 May - 1 June, 2013

Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy. It's the book with descriptions of all the dive sites. We still have the 2007 version but found that the info really didn't change.

    Bonaire Trip Report: 25 May - 1 June, 2013

Just a quick write-up of our week in Bonaire, 25 May - 1 June. Took the Delta flight out of ATL. While it might be more expensive than the red-eyes, the timing is worth it to us. After an uneventful flight, we arrived about 30 minutes ahead of schedule and breezed through immigration and...

VGdiver-Thanks for the information! (My apologies for the delay in replying, work has been eating my soul.) I'll definitely add that to my research. It looks like a wonderful option. smokey braden-As great as it looks, a yacht is still a bit out of our budget. Since neither of us currently...

    BVIs on a Budget?

Due to some excess vacation days and frequent flyer miles next year, my husband and I are looking to do a dive trip some place warm. We're currently eyeing the week around Labor Day (September). After a bit of digging, it looks like the USVI/BVIs are the best option based on our airline...

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

Guess this goes to show that there's more than one way to get to Coz from a cruise ship! :)

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

ggun, Being rather curious, I just checked on Cruise Critic. Past cruisers are stating that one ship a day did dock and the cruiser walked off onto the dock. Someone on their Cozumel board has access to the "official docking list". In general, since it's the International Pier that's...

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

Finally got my topside photos uploaded. http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=ax20xsu.3xdmw3s2&x=0&y=5jyso4 (I recently got a new camera and used the trip as a great excuse to figure out what all it could do. Hence the duplicate shots.)

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

I know I didn't see the tender bays on the south side open when we cruised by on the dive boats. Those are really pretty distinctive when open. I've got a couple of picts at home of the docked ships, so I'll see if I can tell anything from those.

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

Thanks James. It was a typo. The cruise ships certainly appeared to be docked. They were tied into the pier and we never saw a tender approach them. They were using the slot closest to shore on the south side. However, I did not look specifically for the gangways. Those that were clearly...

    Trip Report: Caribe Blu/Blue Angel

rdharbis1, As James has stated, the current really varies by site. For us, Cedral Wall and Paso del Cedral had the strongest current. You may want to find a map of Coz dive sites and see which ones tend to have the stronger currents. Do ask the DM questions about what to expect. I've...
