A GREAT DEAL on Fantasea Nikon P7000 Camera & Housing Set with Refurbished Camera

Does Fantasea manufacture a cover for the fp7000 housing? Something that would protect the lens? Also is there a product (like a clear tape) that would protect the back of the housing where the view finder is? I have a Bigeye lens for it and it has the neoprene cover. This is great...

Diver dead after accident in Lake Ontario near Oakville

Very sad news to hear, If the person who passed away is the fellow that I knew (no names have been released), very tragic. He was not any where near prepared for a dive to 145' with any sort of DECO obligation. Very poor judgment. Hopefully all the facts will somewhat come out and clear...

    More Long Hose Ignorance

I dive the Barrie area. I don't know the club or its members but I think any information or time on the subject would be wasted. Membership has to speak up or its a moot point. I received the notice in my email and promptly terminated my subscription to thier schedule. Not worth the...

    Intova 6

I have the IC600 and they now a 10MB unit that is much much better. The newer camera has the stability control and you can set the white balance and I think it takes higher res video, not HD, but better than the IC600 For the price it is great. I added the Wide angle lense and it is way...

    Oakville Wreck Dive Report

Arrogant, yes. The ass part is debatable. I'm only trying to get people to learn more about safety at sea and most people don't seem to care.....lets just dive, don't offend the operator as he will never take us agian... For the most part people just go "blaaa blaa blaa...what ever...

    Oakville Wreck Dive Report

If you, as a diver, just care about getting taken to the site and allowed to dive your dive and are not educated in, properly shown and demonstrated to the proper safety devices on board for your use in an emergency.......if you yourself are not interested in the the safety regulations and rules...

    Oakville Wreck Dive Report

I would think it is helping for folks to actually read the regulations and requirements of a Private Mooring as this seems to have fueled some of the fire. If you realy don't care then it is a moot point with you. I have no clue who Rob is. Never sailed with him. As far as operation of...

    Oakville Wreck Dive Report

Expert I am: 20 years, Canadian Coast Guard, Chief Engineering Officer Based on Rob's description and the other description Rob was in the wrong. As an Engineer I tend to be very condicending when Nav types screw up :D....its my nature. Safety at sea is a big part of Charter and Dive...

    Oakville Wreck Dive Report

That is the correct way of doing things. A collision is a collision and if the powered vessel drifted into the moored vessel that shows a lack of seamanship and concern for the moored vessel. Overall, both sides, the Shannon boat is at fault as it was under power and maneuverable, the...

Poll Time!! When you go diving, do you make a point to get your log signed/stamped?

Stamped? sticker? Never seen or heard of that. Dive loge is on the computer so no signatures...besides who really cares? PADI changes your C # with every Cert so obviously that # means nothing so why should a signature? More important is getting a good buddy's information for future...

    Diver drowns on the Jodrey

Ayisha, You don't need to defend yourself, excellent description. Obviously something happened at depth such that an experienced diver, as the gentleman was, was unable to control due to some physical problem and his surfacing was well beyond someone trying to control a runaway ascent...

Judge rules-Abandoned diver can sue charter company

you pay for the service. You expect to be served. Leaving a person abandoned is just plain silly. 4 M is cheap. If your brain is that far out to lunch why run a dive boat.
