    Tank Math Confusion

I would start by looking up "ideal gas laws" and how they apply to scuba. Hope that helps.

    Couple of total newbie questions

My dad was stationed on Truk island (as it was known then) back in the late 1940s. He said he used to dive the wrecks to salvage copper for beer money. Funny how things change. e.a.e.

How many dives did you have?

I've done a number of solo dives, and really don't see a problem with it. Rock climbing "free solo" on the other hand makes my palms sweat and knees shake just thinking about it. I think it's FAR easier to position yourself outside your skill level on the rocks then in most recreational diving...

Yeah, I don't know why you didn't just write that to start with, rather than confusing everybody...:D

    Luxfer 4350Psi AL Tank?

I Googled a bit, and found this: http://www.combro.co.uk/nigelh/diver/vdw.html which seems to explain a few things. e.a.e.

    "Offroad" Tank Cart

I had the very same problem, and thought the solution was to build a cart out of steel tubing and 26 inch bike wheels. The cart never got built, but I did end up buying a Suzuki Samurai for $800. It's basically a street legal 4-wheeler and has enough room for gear for two. That might be...

Would you dive with a non-DIR diver?

Simply subscribing to the methodology? Passing DIR-F? Getting a provisional? Tech or Cave 1? Personally I think actions speak louder than acronyms, but that's just me... On a slightly different tack, I wonder what the actual numbers are for various levels of GUE training. How many...

    The FBI took my salvage

Okay, how about these non-Franklin quotes: "Terrorists can attack our freedom, but only Congress can destroy it." "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." e.a.e.

That's funny, when I think of GI3 the first word that comes into my head is "pontificate". e.a.e.

Well, you have a point there. What is GI3 up to these days? e.a.e.

    Cannister light

Yes, you're wrong. GUE is the definitive governing body for DIRness. If only they could make up their minds from month to month to month... e.a.e.

    DPV Construction Begun

Just curious, have you given any thought to the benefits of a variable pitch prop? Also, will there be a clutch to allow the prop to be hand stopped in a runaway motor situation? Just a few safety issues to think about. In any event, best of luck with your project. e.a.e.

    Too Cold???

    Do Underwater Cities Exist???

You mean kind of like the opening scene to the 1999 movie "In Dreams"? P.S. I replaced the "i"s in your quote, hope you don't mind. e.a.e.
