"...we'll laugh at you and you'll look like a dork." - the Split

Hey you Mr. Tech Diver, with your steel doubles, slung aluminum 80 stage bottles and canister light looking like you're ready to do deco on the Doria, what are you doing at Shaw's cove - you look like a Dork!

Would you buy from this company (Salvo)

My guess is that an immature employee of the web maintenance staff created the ad photos as a practical joke to show someone else on the team. I doubt he/she ever intended the photos to make it to the real website. He/she probably just forgot to pull the offensive joke photos prior to updating...

    Registration Numbers on PVC Inflatable

What do you use to put the registration numbers and the registration stickers on your PVC inflatables? Do you just stick the registration sticker directly in the PVC tube? Do you use the vinyl stick-on numbers, or do you paint the numbers on with plastic paint? What do you recommend? Thanks.

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

Well, a used, 2001 25 hp Honda with electric start came up for sale on consignment through a close by marine service shop and I couldn't pass it up. The repairman said he has cleaned out the carbs and everything is in good shape and running well. He thinks the previous owner might have been...

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

Well, I finally got my trailer ordered and it should be here within two weeks. Now I need to decide on the motor. I was leaning towards the Tohatsu/Nissan 25/30, but after talking to the Mercury Rep at the boat show, I'm considering the Merc 4-stroke 25hp with the electric start. The Mercury...

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

I called the Internet dealer and they cannot ship the Yamaha 2-stroke into California, so that option is eliminated.

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

My other option would be to order a new 2-stroke, 25hp, yamaha motor over the internet. It only weighs 106lbs. But I was thinking for just a bit more money I could have a more fuel efficient 4-stroke and be able to use it on any lake if I so choose. However, most of my use will be in the...

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

If I can't find a good deal on a used 2-stroke, I'm thinking about the Tohatsu 30 or 25 hp 4-stroke or the Mercury 25hp 4-stroke. I'm leaning towards the 25 hp motor hoping to save a little weight and some money.

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

Thanks for the information everyone! My boat will be on a trailer, but I'm still worried about a heavy motor doing damage to the transom when bouncing around while driving. Searching on the internet, I haven't seen any new motors above 30hp that have the 15" short shaft. Plus, I haven't seen...

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

Well, I looked at a couple used rigid hulls, and thought they were over-priced for the condition they were in and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I know nothing about and get a piece of junk. Plus, I wanted something that would fit in the space behind my garage and would be...

Which Motor for a 14' Inflatable

I just purchased a 14' wood floored, inflatable keel, inflatable boat from Baltik boats (the same as the Saturn SD430). Now I need to get a motor for it. I'm trying to decide between 2-stroke, four-stroke, new, used, in the 25-40hp range with a 15" shaft. I'm mainly looking for advice on 2...

Dr. Bill, Did you get the plastic credit card type parts card that lists the serial number, or just the paper mail in warranty card?

    $49.95 ScubaPro 1st stage

Were we supposed to get the credit card sized, preferred parts replacement card with our regulators? I didn't receive one with mine and am curious if I will get the free parts without the card.

new reg for a new divemaster

If you are going to work for a shop, they might require that you use gear that is sold in their shop. However, they might give you a killer deal on your purchase of the gear.
