    Average Depth Diving?

As a back-up to using a computer and/or using tables while planning a dive does considering average depth work as well? For example if while diving I figure that my average depth has been around 60 fsw and I've been down for less than 60 minutes then I should know that I haven't exceeded the...

    Applying SAC?

When applying SAC rate to depth do you multiply by the ATA or are you doubling at each atmosphere. In other words with a SAC of .5 cu ft how much air will you be using at 99 fsw? .5 * 4 (ata) = 2 cu ft or .5 cu ft 1 ata 1 cu ft 2 ata 2 cu ft 3 ata 4 cu ft 4 ata = 4 cu ft

Fresh water vs salt water weighting

What is the rule of thumb regarding weighting for going from salt water to fresh water. How much can I expect to drop. Of course I will do a proper weight check in the water but is there a rule of thumb for figuring this out before hand?

    clearing the mask

Common problem at first. Just make sure you have positive pressure coming from your nose just before lifting your mask to clear. Make sure you don't stop until after the mask has been replaced. Just takes a little practice. It happens to most people at first.

    Nitrox question

I understand the reasons for using Nitrox over air in general (longer bottom time and less nitrogen). I just don't see the connection with being ok with air up to 100fsw but only using Nitrox below that. It seems to me there are more reasons to use Nitrox up to 100fsw and air after that (if not...

    Wtd: 3/10/05

You can do it but you have to go further south on I-5 before turning off (as in going to White Center). Then you can take 35th all the way back to West Seattle.

    Nitrox question

I don't know if this was for my benefit but it was unneccessary (but still appreciated). It does however provide the basis for my question to OE2X...if you limit yourself to 100fsw on air why are you willing to go deeper with 32%?

    Nitrox question

I'm curious...if you limit yourself to 100fsw on air why are you willing to go deeper with 32%? Do you feel that you have a clearer head with 32%?
