Will Zen DP-100 work with nikor AF-S 60mm macro lens?

Nice stuff Magrone, great color and composition. Unfortunately I ordered the 60mm before I read your message based on a thread on WetPixel which said this would work in the Zen dome without requiring an extension. Unfortunately you're correct, and this doesn't work and will require an extension...

Will Zen DP-100 work with nikor AF-S 60mm macro lens?

OK, after reading a few reviews I think the answer to this is yes, but figured I'd ask here for a little verification. I have a Zen DP-100 mini dome for my Tokina 10-17 and definitely want to pick up a macro setup. I've gone back and forth between the 60 and 105 but have convinced myself to...

    igills new iphone case

My thinking when signing up to beta test a similar smartphone based dive computer was this. I need a new computer, new wife to be just took over my old one. I really want a wrist mounted AI computer so it's easy to see while working with the camera. I just picked up a dedicated dual algorithm...

    "luxury" liveaboard Mid-Nov 2012

That does sound like a cool option but it also sounds like a bit more of a logistical challenge. We're really leaning towards the 6 day trip on the Diva, to make it simple...though it is a bit pricier than we where originally hoping for. It just seems like a very nice boat and it would be nice...

    "luxury" liveaboard Mid-Nov 2012

Howdy Folks, I'm in the process of planning a honeymoon in Thailand for Nov 7-23. We'll be traveling around to several different locations but are planning for a 5-7 day Similan/Richelieau trip in the middle of the trip (11-17sh). We where originally aiming for the MS Marmin but the...

ideas and suggestions on the design of the "perfect" dive computer

Yeah, the plastic cases seem to always be first to market, but they always make me nervous. Either way, I think it's obvious that smartphone dive computers are here to stay. Whichever one you chose, I think the possibilities are truly exciting.

    Housing buoyancy tweaks

Howdy Guys, I'm currently working with a brand new rig, and having issues getting it neutrally buoyant. I should probably also mention that all my testing has been fresh water to date, first salt water dives with it will be in two weeks, but I digress... So current rig is: Nikon D7000 tokina...

YS-D1 with Nautica housing and Nikon D7000

Thanks Scott, and great pics by the way. Stupid question but does the D7000 need to be in commander mode with two groups set to ttl and the inboard set to "--", or will this work with the default "ttl" setting? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    SLR/Housing travel tips

Howdy folks, So now that I finally have my hands on the new housing and strobes I have a few questions about travel. I should mention that I've read through several similar threads, in fact the soft sided cooler/personal dunk tank that I'll be using as a carry on came from one of them. I've...

The new scuba capsule, anyone own one? Thoughts?

Don't believe it's generally available yet. That being said, I've been stalking them for a while. Sounds like an excellent concept and if it delivers from a reliability perspective I'll be picking one up. Though I'd probably keep a BUD as a backup...just in case Sent from my iPad using...

    Best (digital) underwater photography reference

Thanks guys, ordered a hardcopy last night. I'm really wishing that when you bought the hardcopy it included a softcopy. I have both a kindle and ipad, and am considering picking up an electronic copy to travel with. Of course the con there is, if want to haul the book out on the boat and it...

    Best (digital) underwater photography reference

OK, so I'm truly excited to say that my new D7000 Nauticam housing has finally shipped. So, with a few live aboard trips booked for the not too distant future I'm looking for the best reference/guide for underwater photography, preferably in book form so I can take it with me. Though, as with...

Sola 1200 photo as primary dive light

Thanks RIdiverMike, that pretty much validates what I ended up doing. I picked up the Sola 1200 photo as a video/focus light which will also pull double duty as a primary light for night dives in clear water. For the local lakes/quarry I went ahead an picked up a 1000L light from DRIS. For lake...
