This was a sad thing to read after being away from the diving world for a few years. I hope it gives Lynne's family comfort knowing that her contributions to diving will no doubt help many divers for years to come. She had given me sound advice on a few occasions. I felt so comfortable with...
I agree with fisheater, Go to monterey. I would recommend going to Breakwater and doing some shore dives. If you lost your buddy I would say try to find a guide or at least hang out at breakwater and see if you can buddy up with someone. After seeing your dive count I DEFINITELY would NOT...
I'm sorry for your loss, Please keep in mind that this forum will more than likely have alot of speculation regarding this incident. Some times speculation may actually help keep us safe. I actually learn alot in this forum reading about what might have happened. I know it may be hard for...

I don't think their schedule is up to date. I would call.
I really wasn't looking for free fills or even a stick of gum, I just thought it would be good customer service to at least seem concerned with the mistake and try to make it up some how. Heck, I went to jack in the box a few weeks ago and they gave me a burger instead of the chicken sandwich...
So I called the shop that did the inspection and they said " bring it in I definatly want to take a look at it". So I took it in, I showed it to the owner of the shop (well actually the father of the owner basicly the store manager ) He looked over at the guy who does the tank fills and said "...
So I picked up my tanks after having a visual inspection done. I then went home to pick up my wife and load up the rest of the gear. After driving four hours to the dive site, I straped on my tank, put the regs on, and cracked open the valve. There was no air in the tank.....was the valve...
We like to dive in kelp, I would say 70 ft max. wrecks would be good, I'm not really looking to penetrate any wrecks but to cruise the outside would be sweet. As long as they are not much deeper than 70'.
Thanks for the replies any other info would be appreciated.

Hello,
My wife and I will be in long beach 6/23 thru 6/26. Does anyone know if there are any sites worth diving close to long beach? We will be stoping off in long beach for a wedding after a week of diving in san diego. I will have an 18ft zodiac, and all of our gear. Any suggestions would...
Thank you very much for the info. You have responded to a few of my questions here on SB, I really do appreciate you taking time out of your day to help keep this sport as safe as possible.
Thanks again for your time,
I know this is an old thread but but came across an FDX10 that fails under this recall, I see no mention of it in this thread.

Everytime I look at my wireless transmitter I think to myself......."man that things going to get snapped off"
Does anybody see a problem with me putting a 6 inch hose on the transmitter?
Thanks for your time,
I received my MAKO rubber weight belt a last week. Slid on 16lbs of hard lead and I'm ready to go. I sold the OMS IQ and bought the HOG 32lb single wing+ Hollis SS BP + Basic harness, Added my steel HP 100, sold the air 2, switched to a 7' primary ( HOG D1 Cold ) Monterey here I come...
I am switching from an air 2 to a long hose primary / short AAS. I am just curious how different divers route and keep the hose from draging.
Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
I use a SOL so I guess you could say the SPG would be my back up. I just want to get the most dependable one within my budget. Halcyon may be over my budget, I'll have to research prices.
Thanks to everyone for all the good info.
