Diverite XT Fins....ouch!...suggestions OW-Cave crossover fins for replacements?

How is your trim? How is your weighting? Are you able to hover completely static and your body in horizontal position? Diverite and similar paddle fins are not designed for continuous kicking due to overweighted diver, or to feet-heavy diver due to bad weight distribution. I suggest you start...

Horseshoe or Donut Wing - butt dump valve

[/COLOR] Thank you for the responses, gents. I love my eclipse (donut-shaped) wing so much for single tank diving, never had any difficulty dumping using the OPV. Having so much fun with the donut wing, I am little reluctant in using horseshoe, I don't know if it will have the same convenience...

Jet XL foot pocket vs F1 regular?

Buddha, I currently on business trip, but I will check it once I get home. I will check the inside pocket side-to-side width, at the toe and mid-section. For additonal inputs if you want to have other fin options maybe you can ask TSandM. :D thats the good reason to justify more fin purchase!

Horseshoe or Donut Wing - butt dump valve

Hi, I am in the market for used doubles wing - and at the moment I am looking at used halcyon 40 explorer (horseshoe) wing. I am concerned about dumping air throught the butt valve. I owned halcyon 30 single donut wing and I have no problem using the butt valve for dumping air. Can someone...

Jet XL foot pocket vs F1 regular?

Buddha, I own both and I can say that XL jets and regular Hollis F1 will fit similar feet size. However, they are different in designing the footpocket: F1s are designed to completely "wraps" your feet (all part of your feet will be inside the footpocket) while jets are designed to leave the...

    Buying used Apeks TX100 & TX40 backup

Hi ams, Now the I have the regulator in my hand, has completely replaced original hose with long hose and in few days i might dive with it for the first time. First impression, I like that the design is turretless, unlike my XTX20, for me it's easier to neatly tuck the hose inside the...

    Getting Horizontal Trim

    Getting Horizontal Trim

I used to have exactly same problem with you. I'm also Single tank diver, SS backplate, Hollis F1 fins, naturally feet heavy. You have two options, either put weight on your top cam band, or change to lighter fins. Both option works for me, but I preferred the latter. I changed to OMS fins.

    Buying used Apeks TX100 & TX40 backup

Guys, thank you very much for all your comment. You guys seem to have read my mind :D Indeed I am planning to change the standard hose into long hose some time in the future (this is for my GF), but unless mentioned here most likely I will not realize that the regs have different port size...

    Buying used Apeks TX100 & TX40 backup

Hi guys, Thank you for all helpful responses. I never noticed that the primary has different port size. AMS thanks for the link, I read the manuals for the TX-100 2nd stage & FST 1st stage, and noticed the 1/2" port you mentioned. Is this 1/2" port is made specially to accomodate TX-100? Is...

    Buying used Apeks TX100 & TX40 backup

Hi guys, Recently I purchased Apeks TX100 & TX40 primary and backup regs. So far I don't have any problems with using them. But I find out that this is really "old" regs, and Apeks discontinued their production. Do I have to worry about the availability of the spare parts?

    BP/ W in UAE ?

OP, it's not fair to compare online vs LDS price, without calculating for shipping costs, overhead, tax duty, etc... I don't think that you could get lower than $600 locally. One thing you have to consider if you want to purchase BP/W, you have to do some work to assembly the harness, putting...
