Can anyone else confirm that the bridge is going to be closed tomorrow? its not that I dont trust you Jimw, I just wanna make sure before I call off my trip last minute. I had heard that the bhb was the backup dive for the film/tv people. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Curious question. When you got pictures that werent in focus, was the whole image out of focus or just the actual spot that you wanted?

ive noticed that depending on the fins, and especially with boots or water shoes, yeah, your feet definetly float better. good point.

i was mostly thinking of places like red reef, bathtub beach and the like. places with next to no real current and shallow clear water. again, if ones goal is to float on top and just relax, fins are useless.

i know this may sound odd or a bit off, but If i know I am going to go snorkel somewhere and i know 1. its shallow 2. i wont be holding my breath or diving down much and 3.there might be a few people or more, I just use my mask and snorkel. And if i need to really be able to swim, I use those...

i did one of the park ranger guided tours out of biscayne national park and it was pretty nice. we went to a wreck, the mandalay. it definetly made me feel a little touristy, but for the 20 or so bucks i paid, well worth it. water was super clear and tons of fish. ---------- Post added...

I was in St Thomas at the Marriot at Frenchman's Reef, and it was pretty nice. I saw a diversity of fish and coral. Tarpon, Lionfish, Turtles, Rays, and a few anemones new to me. Lots of long spines though so watch your fingers if you try to pick up a shell or something.
