I don't understand if the camera zoom is set at 35mm equivalent, why doesn't it work well?

Ridiculous that Inon did not make a provision for a red filter. Guys, I'd like to see some sample footage with the Inon GoPro dome kit and hear about your impressions.

I am using ur-pro from srp and auto WB. I find it fairly easy to correct shots with excessive pink hue in editing vs trying to correct for lack of red when not using filter. Having said that, I do remove the filter when shooting something like a frog fish or moray in a hole, etc.

Nobody enjoys watching head mounted u/w video. Unless you're penetrating a cave or wreck, keep the camera off your head. You also won't be able to tell if it's recording properly. GoPros are fiddly enough to control even when you can see what you're doing. Get a GoPole Grenade grip and attach it...

Use whatever res you want. Higher res will allow you the option to crop during edits. Keep fps low at 30 to let more light in. Skip the filter to let in more light. Effect of filter beyond 80 feet is marginal at best unless water is super clear and the sun is out. Cheers.

Well, I don't think anyone would suggest using a inon 165, or any other wet lens on a gopro. The underwater comparison shots are interesting, tha ks for posting. As I said, fantasea big eyes are refractive wet domes, not lenses per se. The link is on my first post.
