The big delay here seemed to have been an insurance check- perhaps timezone made a difference. I'm surprised that many divers (who can afford to dive internationally) do not get internationally accepted DAN insurance at less than $200/year.

Unfortunately Spare Air is marketed towards beginners as a good diving/buddy substitute. Many divers however also become lax on buddy protocol and or are diving solo/photo (same thing IME). Fairly normal thing to happen as the soft seat takes a groove. The hard seat creates an imprint a bit like your fingernail biting in to your skin. Yo need to tighten the adjustment screw a quarter turn or so.
