A group of us are heading up to Wazee from Missouri to do some trimix training dives. We need depths from 215-250 feet. What is the best way to do these dives?
i.e. entry point, ascent and descent plans, etc...
Thanks!
One possibility is that he stepped in with negative buoyancy and his tank valve off. This would lead to drowning with an SPG that shows zero. when he tried to inflate the bc and breath he would have used up the pressure in the LP hoses and first stage.
But this is speculation as to how it...
I am trying to agree, with the added point that most of the fatalities seem to be occurring on the shallow side in water less than 40 feet deep. It seems to be the new and returning divers dying. With the exception of the instructor in the unusual Tec configuration that had the incident when I...
I have dove the deep end there. It is butt cold. But it is not dark.
My advice is to not be accompanied by very experienced divers, but to BE a very experienced diver if you dive the deep end. Redundant air is a good idea.
Again, it really does sound like most of the deaths are on the...
People keep bringing up the depth. Most of the incidents seem to be on the shallow side. I have been there twice and there was a death on the shallow side the first time I was there and I dove the deep side that day.
I really think it is just the volume of divers. Oronogo, here Missouri is...
Ummm.... I noticed it every time.
I also have a significant other who would not watch after the first episode. Luckily, I could fast forward and watch an episode in about 10 minutes.
Slightly used TUSA Duo IR3. Just like this one and purchased from SCUBAtoys. Tusa Duo Air IR3 reviews and discounts, Tusa
Great for getting rid of that octo hose. Comes with everything you need to use this handy item.
The IR-3 Duo-Air is a downstream safe-second backup regulator that...
If you are not comfortable now, at home, in your chair thinking about these dives, you will not feel better on the swim deck of the boat about to giant stride in.
Just skip dives that do not feel right and you worry about gas. You will live longer.
Dude,
There is a guy just like you here and on another board, but at the OW level. He just got OW cert and did what you are doing. You post all the problems you had. Then the voice of experience in the form of many Tec Divers tells you that you are endangering yourself. Then you get...
Wow.
Too much, too fast, all at once.
I cannot believe a DM/instructor did this to themselves.
If you are gonna Tec dive, you should get your own gear and be comfortable in it before you start the course.
Where are my aspirins?
Looking for a good octo inflator? Here it is.
I went the Tec/Cavern route and removed this from my gear. It is a great recreational hose/clutter. eliminator.
Here it is on ST http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detai...PRODUCT_ID=IR3
They want 138 new. I will let it go for $110...
