Friends,
My wife and I will traveling aboard the Nautilus Explorer here on June 10th for a 10 day combo Sea of Cortez/ Socorro trip.
What are the water temps in June. Nautilus is telling us that we should pack a 7MM wetsuit. The water temps that I have found said it will be in the high 70s to...
Even as a new diver her kind answers to a multitude of questions asked and searched for spoke volumes about who she was. I did not have the pleasure of meeting her but she is and will continue to be missed by everyone on this board and the new divers that come here searching for answers and...
Don we will be there 22nd - 31. Staying and diving with Aldora. We are a young couple but enjoy meeting new people. Trying to finalize our schedule for night dives but we would be up for something.
Sue and Marc are great. Good to hear that the seahorses are still there. There were still really big thermoclines when we were there as well. My wife who is always cold absolutely hated diving with 7mm and dove it all with 3mm.
I guess I made a mistake. The injured diver was a DM from n.c. That was there with a group, not a d.m. From the dive outfit. I will edit the above. Sorry.
Received a little more detail last night. It was more of a boating accident and not a diving accident. The motor was left running to keep the boat in position and the Diver that was hurt was the first person off the boat went down when he jumped off the boat and somehow got caught underneath...
My father is diving in Belize. I never got word of where they were staying or who he was diving with. Got a quick email from my mother who is there with him, she said a dive master from NC was hit in the head with the prop yesterday (2/18/15) and airlifted out of there from the boat that Dad...
I will be in St. Petersburg February 14th, and will be eager to dive as my diving in the frozen north gets a little limited. Any recommendations for a dive operator or charter in the area. As a side note, how is the diving in the area any good?
Thanks for all of the recommendations I know it...
Well the shop got back to me today. The tank looked visually good and they were taking it for a VIP tomorrow. I mentioned the VIP procedure and he said the hydro place was aware and should be fine. Thanks for the input I am excited for my purchase.

Thanks for the info. I hope they do pass inspection. They would allow me to dive a lot more often which makes me really excited.
I need to find a dive buddy locally in Northern Iowa as my wife is pregnant and unable to dive with me.
I tentatively bought a pair of PST E-Series steel one hundreds ate a garage sale today.
They were last VIP (I think that is the term) in march of 2007.
They have some slight surface (white rusting) on the outside the bulk of which I think I could remove with Emory cloth.
I paid $100 each...
Kona Diving company was great to work with when we were just down there. They were easy to find as you come into Kona from the airport on the right side of the road just before you get to the main turn off to go into town.
They had pretty new gear that seemed to be really well taking care of.
I understand, I guess somethings I need to just see in writing/ get a little separation from to realize that it is a bad idea. It will be are first god willing and as I said above, I am a little lost and my world is going every which way. Thanks!
Part of me can't believe I am even asking this. (that would be the emotional want to protect side) The rational thinking side of me wonders why my wife who just found out that she is pregnant can't hop into the pool and just screw around/work on skills/relax (she finds it very stress releasing)...
