This is real. I visited a ww2 wreck off of Florida that capsized post-torpedo strike. The hold is FULL of oil. Just a matter of time.

Definitely a scubapro mk2. Basic, reliable 1st stage reg. R380 is a good octo/backup reg. Snag a scubapro g250 for your primary and you’ve got a solid setup.

They’re fine tanks, just not a good choice for deco/ stage bottles.

Weighting for empty deco tanks will make you needlessly heavy. They can be ditched or sent up the ascent line when empty.

I’ve done 1x on the chest and 2x on the swim platform on a leash. Clip it off when you hit the water and go. If you take a scooter, have it staged on the platform, clip it off when you walk back there, and it’s a less than graceful flop into the water. Also, I’ve done a fair bit of back roll...

I don’t really experience any issues with illuminating the cave with the focus 2. If you bottom out the adjustment, I suppose, but I back it off maybe 1/4 turn and it’s real good.

No BOV is a bad idea. Hypercarbia, hypoxia, and hyperoxia all can create conditions where you are unable physically or mentally to make a switch from the loop to a separate 2nd stage. Configure your great right and issues like “it isn’t streamlined” and “it’s uncomfortable” arent issues anymore.

Go heads up, shimmy around and dump from the inflator. You can get all of the air out. Agree though with above commenters that getting “all” out it out means you’re too close with your weighting. A few lbs heavy is infinitely better than two lbs light.
