Was looking to head down for a few dives early Sunday morning. ANyone know what viz has been like recently? Also, someone had metioned not getting fills there - oil contamination was mentioned. Trying to determine to bring 2 tanks or just 1 and fill it there. TIA, Jeff

Diving a backplate and wing is wonderful... Try before you buy as much as you can. I have a 27# Pioneer which is fine for my warmer water dives. The main options with the backplate are Stainless (~6# negative) or Aluminum (~2# negative). Unless you are incredibly short (under 5'2") or...

Agreed - the Scuba Toys part had me thrown for a loop as well...

I am looking at meeting up with a few guys Saturday. Still waiting to hear back from them. I assume Discover Scuba is likely the only shop to have AL80's for rental with a DIN valve? I hate the damn DIN-Yoke adapters - whack my head on it. I drive a Silver Maxima - FWIW.

Agreed on the 300M as a minimum. I think most everyone can do this without issue. For me between Breast stroke and Freestyle I was able to knock it out in 8 minutes. It was in open water with a current. The downstream leg went damn fast - coming back was a ******. I suspect it was closer to...
