We have a group of five divers heading to Key West the first week of March. Are there any dive ops that will do something other than the Vandenberg in the AM? We only want to dive AM and we don't want to do five days on the Vandenberg if possible.

My buddy lost a small Intova camera, if the one you found is an Intova let me know and I can get more specifics.

Can someone tell what this red hairy looking stuff is? It looks like some sort of Red Algae but I'm not sure, I saw this while diving in Belize a few weeks ago. It appears to be feeding on the things that it is growing on.

The info that I was told is that he did become entangled in some line while inside the hold. He removed his sling bottles and then removed his main tanks and untangled himself, then the wing started lifting him and he was unable to dump the gas and he couldn't let go because it was his only air...

He had a buddy on the dive but the buddy stayed on top of the deck (because he wasn't comfortable penetrating the wreck) while he went into the hold. What happened inside is just speculation on the part of the State Police Dive Unit. The diver was very experienced with wreck penetration dives...

Well it's been over four years since the first post. Sherwood hasn't ever come out with a fix for the SR-1 that I am aware of and they now have an SR-2 that supposedly is redesigned. I looked at the schematics for the SR-1 and the SR-2 and there are a few different parts but nothing that I feel...

The western part of Lake Erie is shallow and murky, not much to dive on. The lake starts to deepen once you go east of the islands but the best diving is on the eastern part of the lake and as sayuncle posted you won't go wrong with Osprey Charters.

Anywhere in the St. Clair River. Lots of stuff to find and plenty of fish to see.

Some more info coming from the Sheriff's is that Jim was diving a single tank which the gauge shows 1800 psi left, he also had a full pony bottle.

I knew Jim and dove with him a few times. He was a very accomplished diver with excellent skills. This tragedy is still sinking in and I will truly miss him.
