Need Help Selecting 8 Dive Sites Near Ambergris Caye (Map Attached)

Thanks Peter and Don. I was asking about dive sites in advance because I want to be able to make the best choices when the DM presents potential diving options each day. On the Nitrox, the operator just needs to know 1 day in advance so they can get the tanks. Been working on my list of...

Any Swampers Have Ambergris Caye Recommendations?

We reserved with Bottom Time Diving who seems to have a good rep. They dock at the Holiday Hotel. Who is mixing the Nitrox down there? Thanks for the feedback.

Need Help Selecting 8 Dive Sites Near Ambergris Caye (Map Attached)

Hello, I am planning 8 dives in Belize in a few weeks. Could anybody provide feedback on the best "must see" dive sites? I need to pare the list down to just 8 from over 40! Also I need to know what the typical dive depths are in the area since we must order Nitrox mixes in advance of our...

Buying Suunto from LDS or LeisurePro and warranty info..

Point of clarification - since ScubaToys.com is an authorized dealer, the warranty IS the same as any LDS. In fact, I sent items back to the factory with the Scuba Toys listed as the vendor on the warranty card w/o a problem. You just have to call the manufacturers 800 line, get a "Return...

Buying Suunto from LDS or LeisurePro and warranty info..

Who needs a warranty? You could always buy a replacement computer from Leisure Pro and still spend the same on 2 computers as you would have on 1 at an LDS. If you really want a warranty, ScubaToys.com is an authorized dealer but may cost a bit more. I bought an Oceanic Versa Pro from an...

    Nikon Cool Pix Camera's!

Nikon's are great but you might want to consider reviewing the Olympus Stylus 800. It's an 8.0 Megapixel all-weather camera that will fit in your pocket. If the housing leaks some or water is splashing around the boat, it won't matter because the camera is o-ring sealed anyway.

    Medina Lake Dive spots

FYI - I did my Advanced OW course at the marina there about 3 years ago. During a surface interval we did some skiing at that location and the depth at the cliffs you mentioned was 100'-120' from the rock face wall out into the middle of the lake. The wall goes nearly straight down.

Poll: Best Oxygen Analyzer For Entry Level Nitrox Divers

Good point however I am a control freak and love the idea of multiple o2 meters analyzing the same mix as a 'check-and-balance'. Just an additional safety measure.

Poll: Best Oxygen Analyzer For Entry Level Nitrox Divers

OK equipment gurus - a few questions: Who makes the most waterproof, durable, and reliable Oxygen Analyzers? Would you buy the one you have today again? Are any of the analyzers really that different than one another? Thanks a million! Amoxtec...

Info Request: Texas Liberty Ship Wrecks

I read that three 400 foot Liberty Ships lay at a depth of 100 feet off of Port Mansfield. The ships are upright, and their tops reach a depth of 85 feet. These ships were intentionally sunk in the 1970s by the federal government. Nine 'Rigs to Reef' structures were also added to complete the...
