    HOG / Dive rite BP/W

I have a dive rite stainless plate with basic harness and HOG 32lb singles donut wing. The harness is new (installed, but not cut), the wing has one dive on it (nothing wrong with it, just not diving), and the plate has some mileage but is in very good condition. It needs tank straps, the...

    Cape Ann parking issues?

I've never had a problem with Cape Ann parking in the off season. When we pulled into Folly today I noticed that the signs now say "violators towed" in unfriendly red letters. It's been a while since I have been up there so I don't know how long they have had the new signs up. Any stories...

    Drysuit and tanks FS

I've got a Bare Trilam HD Tech drysuit in XL-short for sale. Check out the size chart at http://barescubadiving.com/usa/size-charts/images/size%20chart_mens.JPG Soft booties should fit between an 8.5-10ish. I've lost some weight and the suit is just too big to use. Suits got some use on it...

    Suunto-Mosquito...changing battery

I've used a small jeweler screwdriver to GENTLY pry the cover up. I've done three battery changes with the same cover and o-ring (just cleaned and lubed it) without any problems. Just be careful getting it out and I wouldn't worry about replacing the cover.

Replaced my own drysuit zipper FINALLY....

Wow...that's great. I've done neck, wrist, p-valves, rebuilt the exhaust, replaced the inflator....but always thought of doing the zipper as beyond DIY.

    Wetsuit diving Nov. 17

The water isn't a problem, it's the surface interval that builds character. A thermos of warm water to dump down your suit and an insulated jacket (or even just a windbreaker) that you dont mind getting wet and salty goes along way. If you're just planning on one dive it's no big deal at...

    Folly cove on RB

Very cool... Opens up all kinds of possibilities. You could always do Folly to Lanes Cove or Cathedral to Back beach :D No worries about having lobstermen drop bricks on you as you have no bubbles is also a huge plus. I do hate hearing how they are easy enough to use beach diving...

    HP 119 question

The 119's are heavier than the 120's. I am relatively short and the 119's trim out great. The 120's are too long for me to carry them by the valve, which is a real pain when you need to move two tanks.

    Stolen Dive Gear!!!

I always leave my booties next to gear, you would need a biohazard suit to get near enough to steal anything. I do make a habit of recording serial numbers on any gear that has them. On items that have engraved or etched numbers I make a tracing with paper and pencil to prove that it was in...
