    Tight swivel on Delta 4

Sorry for the bump, but can I get some love from the friendly Oceanic folks? Thanks.

    Aeris Atmos AI

Sorry for re-opening an old thread, but I'm having this exact problem with my wife's AI. Somehow the sampling rate was set to 2 seconds. I can manually see about 15 dives on the computer, but I can only download the last two dives. Bill indicated earlier that the current software only allows...

    Tight swivel on Delta 4

The swivel on my Delta 4 second stage is a little tight. (BTW, I just had the regs serviced by Divers Direct, and apparently this isn't part of the service.) Is there a type of grease that I can put on the swivel? Or do I need to take something apart to clean it? Thanks.

    Inflator leaking

Mark, the vinegar worked great! I soaked the inflator in a ~33% dilution for about an hour and now it works flawless. Thank you!

    Inflator leaking

Wow. That is pretty cheap. I expected more. BTW, when I took off the stainlesss nipple (not sure what else to call it) I could see the little pin with a tiny, tiny red washer that I think is supposed to stop the flow of air. I tend to agree that it's probably not fixable. I put hot, soapy...

    Inflator leaking

My wife has an Oceanic Isla BCD. It's about two years old and has been perfect until now. Today I noticed that it is leaking air through the stainless inflator connector. I've never noticed because the hose is normally attached. I only noticed when I removed the hoses and inflated the BCD to...

    Random Key Largo trip questions

There are a few reasons to go to Key West. The first is that it's a nice drive if you haven't been to the Keys before. Lots of bridges and nice vistas of beautiful blue and green water. But it's also a very long drive, so the drive alone is probably not worth it. Next, Key West has some...

    Fluid in concha

My wife has been diagnosed as having fluid in her concha. (Sorry, I don't know which concha.) She has had sinus issues for a few years and often has trouble clearing her ears but it's never been bad enough to abort a dive. The fluid issue was just diagnosed recently, along with allergies to...

Problem with my Oceanic Data Plus computer

Will that computer allow you to download the dive profile? If so, take a look at the depths and times and see if they make sense. Maybe the depth gauge wasn't functioning correctly. And use the dive tables to calculate your nitrogen loading. Also check the nitrox blending that the computer...

    Lake Denton Info?

Ah. Thanks. I had missed that one. Quite an adventure. :)

    Lake Denton Info?

The good thing about Lake Denton being your first real dive is that hopefully it will also be your worst dive ever. Things can only improve! :) BTW, why the heck is someone from Atanta getting certified in Lake Denton? Not that I blame you for going South.

    Lake Denton Info?

BTW, I didn't want to disagree with fndmylove because he has dove there recently, but when I dove there last summer there was one hell of a themocline around 25ft. Yikes. Temp probably dropped 5 degrees.

    Lake Denton Info?

So how the heck do you get back into the kayak after you're done diving? Do you take your equipment off and either throw it in the kayak or tie your inflated BC to a rope? I just don't see how you get back in without flipping the dang thing.

    Lake Denton Info?

I've only dove Lake Denton once, and I hated it. Visibility was poor (15ft maybe) and the damn fish kept swarming me looking for food. Kind of freaked me out. The only reason I dove it was because my kids were getting certified. But I guess it beats not diving. P.S. There have been...

    Dry Tortugas

I've only snorkeled at Fort Jefferson, but would love to dive it. The island, water, fort, history, etc., are just fantastic. I absolutely love the Dry Tortugas. Who are you diving with? Is it the liveaboard out of Ft Myers?
