Diver dies at Racha Yai/Phuket last Wednesday

my condolences! but, i really don't know what to say! there's a risk in any activity! i always say to my parents when they voice concern about my diving is that, statistically, it's more dangerous to cross the road than it is to go diving! all we can learn from this is that we should be...

    PG or Bohol mid March

Hi friends on PPD I just returned from my trip from Boracay! I knew that Boracay is better known for the lovely long white powdery beach (LOVELY) and not for divng, but i did dive a little all the same. Unfortunately due to the lack of time (and oversleeping), i was unable to do Yapak II...

    Hong Kong?

i think MOST things are cheaper here, especially if you get quite a few things (and not stuff that's already discounted) you may be able to bagain and negociate a little for the final price. good to know what you have in mind and the approx pricing before you start shopping so you know when...

    Hong Kong?

i'm afraid HK is not known for wonderful diving, but the shopping is good and while you're here, you should check out a few of the dive shops! i'm sure the stuff here is much cheaper than many places and the variety is quite large!

    Chang Mai or bust

Also, i wasn't impressed with the night market. the stalls on the streets were selling typical touristy fake t-shirts and penknives. there was like an acade on the right hand side about 1/3 way down the market, if you go with the one way traffic that had some more interesting crafts stuff...

    Chang Mai or bust

on the caution side we had 3 massages, and one place (incedentally the most expensive) was dirty and the massages were really bad.. like why would i pay for someone to touch and tickle me for an hour! i can't remember the name of that place, will ask my friends, if i find out, i will mail you...

hey susie, you've got to see the elephants. i know it's a bit 'touristy', but i had a great time there! i think i spend all my money buying the sugar cane and bananas for the lovely giants! got a great picture of my friend with a muddy crotch on his trousers! one of the elephants grabbed...
