I use a basketball. remove the old neck seal and lay your suits neck hole over the basketball. works for any size of neck and any style, mfgr.etc. I also replace my own dry zippers too. IT'S NOT AS HARD AS PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE. KEN

you kinda got to be carefull around lover's as part of the area is closed to spearfishing. i believe that you have to stay outside of the bouy's, I'd check to find out. we usually stay way out side. there are a lot of sandy areas in between the reef structures. the breakwater.... i don't know...

you can dive just about any where.look for a sandy bottom.try off of del monte beach, we shoot quite a few there or off of lovers pt.

If you happen to be nearsighted the HYDROPTICS mask are incredible. It's the only mask i will use when in diving on scuba. I haven't had the chance to use it freediving for abalone, YET. ken

the only time i dive in a wetsuit anymore is when i'm after ab's. the rest of the time i'm in a drysuit. why would anyone dive wet if you have the choice of diving dry!!!!! ken

the only dive shop up on the sonoma coast is the bodega bay dive shop. farther north is sub-surface progression ,in fort bragg. there is a hardware store in gualala (I think) that has limited gear and will fill tanks. as far aa a first time shore dive on the north coast,,,,,van dame state park...

i cook mine on my big green egg with either apple,jack daniels, or wine barrel smoking chips. man, it just don't get any better. serve with butter or whatever suits your fancy. rasberry chipotley b-b-q sauce works nicely, (my wifes favorite). ken
