What makes a dive boat trip luxurious?

Bob (Grateful Diver), lol while reading your description I kept thinking of our trip - Pelagian While our trips vary from spartan to luxury the Pelegian will always be the measuring stick for the luxury side. Truly a fantastic trip. Terrie

    On Verge Of Panic!!!

you know what I noticed the most out of my AOW deep dive was that I felt I did just fine at the 'skilz' we did at 100 feet. Then when we were back on the boat and compared the times and look of the sig's we did at depth, I was shocked. It felt fine at 100 ft but was way out of line with what...

    Lembeh Dec09 - Questions

reubencahn, yes we were on the boats all day but keep in mind our dives were always over an hour. You set your own schedule. We chose to do as many dives as we could manage. We would anchor in a quiet cove for our SIT times and catch some sun, review our pictures, fill out dive logs, eat lunch...

    Wet suit size trouble

I have just bought that exact suit. I have only dived it in the local quarry and it is very easy to get into. I leave next week for a 3 week trip around Komodo and other parts of Indonesia and that suit will be my main exposure protection. The only thing I have noticed so far is that the...

    Wet suit size trouble

You need to try them on. I wear a size 2 in clothes but my wetsuits are size 6. (Mares and Bare). Don't be put off by the size numbers, take a look at the measurements and above all try them on. They can fit VERY differently. Good luck

    Mask Help

I second the suggestion of the "bolt", I use the Mask Leak Sealant from Mike over at Dive Right In Scuba and it is great stuff. I have a very small face and apparently I just smile too much while underwater..... This stuff is great, solved my problems. And I have tried MANY masks...

    I need advice...

Wakatobi's 2008 pricing puts it over your budget. Plus there really isn't ANYTHING else but diving, diving, diving, snorkeling, sun worshipping. Can't advise on any of the other locals, sorry.

What Women Want... Dork Diver Style!

Here is a tip: Those little black felt like bags from Sephora work great for protecting your dive computer in your reg bag while traveling. I always use my reg bag as a carry on and wrap my dive computer separately so it doesn't get scratched. Seriously..... I don't paint my fingernails...

Another diver death in Grand Cayman

Well, darn that would just suck. I like diving in Cayman and I turn 50 this year. Of course at 5'4"/120lbs and running 30 miles a week I think I'm in "ok" shape. But rules are rules and if someone in the Cayman's wanted to make a dive limit based on age I would have to go elsewhere. hmmmmm...

    nitrox analyzing question

I have been diving Nitrox all over the carribean (Bonaire, Cozumel, Belize, Caymans, Roatan ~ liveaboard and land based) and have never had a problem analyzing my own tanks. As TSandM says everywhere seams to have their own system for the diver to analyze and record the info. Learning a bit...

Question about beginner diving in Bonaire

Hey Jeff, My husband and I went to Bonaire last January at that time we had 11 dives each. We did a lot of dives from the docks and shore and only hired a DM for the dive at the pier. Its very easy diving. I think it is the best place for new divers. We stayed at Capt. Dons but would easily...
