VR3 HD Dive Computer for sale.
This model comes with Trimix Open & Closed Circuit. I've gotten many great dives out of this computer but I've recently switched to a different model.
The case itself is somewhat physically damaged, as shown in the pictures. The strap passes through a small...
If you contacted your legislator or the DNR, thank you.
As of 3:04PM Tuesday, the DNR officially posted their updated protocol under section NR 4040.07 ( 8 ) (c) 1., 2. and 3. This is the version that will be reviewed in committee Wednesday in the assembly. They are backing away from...
The DNR has responded a little -
Saving Wisconsin Bats - How You Can Help - WDNR
We need to get this amended in writing though. The DNR has not always been completely straightforward about their plans/intentions. It is definitely in the interest of the diving community to get this wording...
Update from another board:
------
A slight clarification on this...it will be voted on and amendments created at the State Assembly Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday. It will then go before the full Assembly shortly thereafter...so even if your Assembly person is not on the committee...
DIVERS IN WISCONSIN!!!!!! PLEASE call your legislator today to ask them to pay attention to the the White Nose Syndrome bat law coming up for vote in the Assembly THIS WEDNESDAY. The vote will SHUT DOWN all cave diving in Wisconsin and potentially all diving in "mines and quarries" - IE, Red...
Kinda what I was thinking. The technical divers I dive with are extremely passionate about what we do and we work our butts off in order to participate in this kind of diving and we do it at every available opportunity. We are crazy fussy over our equipment because we worked so hard to get it...
We have a homebuilt rack. We have a vertical tube with a lot of holes drilled in it that is built into a stand. The stand is made of pipe and we can just feed a hair dryer (set to low..... ) into it. Dries tanks nice and quick. Steel can be a PITA w/ flash rust but it works stellar for AL.
It is expensive, no wady around it. But at a certain point doing dives on OC is juts not practical. This summer I was doing dives at 170 for 60 minutes with 90+ minutes of deco. So easy on a rebreather but I'd hate to do that on oc.
Posted from my phone.
Passing it through your wallet - too true.
I absolutely love my rebreather, it has allowed me to do some absolutely phenomenal dives that would be impossible on open circuit. But it is definitely a financial leap.
No issues. I love my vr3. Use it from simple ocean dives to 300'+ CCR dives. Gotten me through all sorts of dives and emergency dive plan changes. If you are having issues with it contact the company they are usually pretty responsive.
Are you talking the spring that is now called Cannonball? It is located in what is now lake Wapapello..... it is quite deep and very big. Gorgeous cave.
Left and right valve all the way!
When I'm on vacation I just deal with having two of the same valves. It sucks a little bit but you get used to it after a day or two.
They are all good. I've been an NSS/CDS member for quite a few years. To be honest the only reason I signed up was to get access to Cow but I really enjoy reading the magazine too. I think they all are working towards a good thing in the long run!
Heh...old thread revival! :D I put that post up about 6 years ago :) The Tekna is loong gone.
On the other hand I can highly recommend the Akona boat duffel. Very durable...only problem is capacity. I use it mainly on warm vacations now and use Rubbermaid totes for just about anything else.
I will let him know as soon as I find out! I stopped into the shop but only the hired help were there and they don't know a thing about the warranty stuff :( Will be stopping in again tomorrow.
I'm going to check w/ my LDS tomorrow to see if I can have it sent in or not. When I last spoke with Barney my LDS owner was on the way to Roatan. I just got in from Bonaire so we have not been able to talk for several weeks.
The computer is technically available. There is an individual...
