    ScubaPro Jet vs UsDiver Rocket?

Can't go wrong with SP Jets. I've used them for a while now and they are simply good solid performing fins. I got mine online from Liesure Pro. EER

    problem with motion sickness

I recently began snorkeling/freediving for lobster and am considering getting certified (seems much easier than having to hold your breath all the time underwater! :D ) The last two times I went out, about 5 mins into the snorkeling I had a rush of nausea come over me, like I was getting...

    motion sickness while freediving?

Not sure why, but I recently started freediving (for bugs) and have experienced nasty nausea feelings after about 5-10 mins in the water. Swell was only about 2ft, but seemed like I was feeling every little ripple. I fish offshore and never seem to have a seasick problem. Should I try taking...

Hospital Point in La Jolla, hunting question

There's no way he could tell for sure. But I think lifeguards and DFG guys on shore tend to watch for any signs of people taking illegal game in the preserves. Basically, they'll ticket you if you bring game out of a preserve area, period. EER

    Hooped Nets

hooping can be rewarding, but it's quite a bit of work. The bugs stay in the net only through centrifugal force, so you have to pull them quickly -- not so easy with a net loaded with bait. Stinky bait seems to work best. I use old bait or fish carcases and maybe a can of oily cat food with a...

    snorkeling/freedive cap?

With cooler water temps coming in San Diego, I want to get a neoprene cap to use until water temps get into the 50's (when I'll use a full hood). Does anyone have any recommendations for a good cap? Thanks. EER

    Finally, my turn. Big monkfish!

You're making me very hungry! Wonderful pics of the fish, scallops and uw shots. I hadn't thought about using a knife for underwater fishing, but for the bottom dwellers that sounds like it works well. Congrats on the big monk. EER

    scubapro adjustable twin jetfins?

The adjustable twins are models with the strap heel and the split paddle. They are a follow-on generation of fins from the jet fin model. I know the jet fins have been around for many years. A couple of LDS that sell the twin jets have told me that US military divers use the twin jets as...

    scubapro adjustable twin jetfins?

I've heard these are used by military divers and are "top of the line". I want fins that are generally comfortable to use, that I can maneuver well with, and that I can crank up to get quick bursts of speed if needed (strong legs). Advice? :06: EER

    trouble with eels

Anyone ever have any incidents with moray eels? I hear that they like to live in areas that are good for lobster hunting. Wondering if anyone has been bothered by these while hunting for bugs or other game. EER:06:
