What types of divers last the longest?

I think there is really something to this. I was addicted from my first discovery dive. My open water instructor looked at me after I got my certification and said "You're hooked, huh?" That was more than 10 years ago - having two kids in there slowed me down a bit, but I got back in the saddle...

How many of you love diving with your spouse?

My husband dives, but not as often and he's usually jittery the first dive or two after he's been away from it for a while. So when I dive with him, I feel a bit guilty because I know he dives more for my sake than for his and a bit irritable because for the first couple of dives, I have to...

    Jameson Karst Edwards

Hi there - I know I'm coming late to this party, but just popped in to say that the boy looks great and is clearly thriving. Way to go, Mom!

I've been thinking of Marci and Jameson and wondering how things were going, so this is SUCH great news! Welcome home, Jameson!

Could the fussing be just simply because he's more mature? My little guy was just over 5 weeks early and didn't fuss for the first three weeks at all. I was worried that he never cried. The nurses would laugh their heads off at me. Needless to say, I'm paying for it now.

I've said before in this thead how lucky Jameson is to have you as his mom. Having had a little taste of what you've been through with my Sam, I feel that even more. I hope you can get him home very soon.

The difference between his picture now and the one in your avatar is amazing, BabyDuck. He's come so far! Those cheeks are impressive!

    Babies, Babies, and more babies

Here's an update on one of the SB baby crop - Sam came home from the hospital yesterday! He's in great shape, gaining weight, eating like crazy (every hour and a half to two hours!) - we feel very lucky.

BabyDuck, I also wanted to say that those new pictures are awesome! What a cutie! You're going to have to fight off the ladies when he's out and about. A friend of mine who had a premie baby would wield a bottle of hand sanitizer at total strangers as they rushed to poke at her little one.

Erparamedic - Thanks for the reassuring story. We've been hearing lots of them the last few days and it's really helping. We'll get some pictures up when we have time to figure out the new camera we bought recently, thinking we'd have some time! KBulla and Baited Storm, best wishes for...

    Babies, Babies, and more babies

Hey, Baited Storm, you timed this perfectly for me. Yep, Samuel Allan arrived on March 28 - 5 weeks and 1 day early. Guess he just couldn't wait to check out the world. He's big for that gestational age - 6 lbs 14 oz at birth, and already starting to regain weight. He's in hospital, but...

Wow - I've been away for a while, and come back to catch up on all this great news! Go Jameson! By coincidence, the reason I had a week's worth of posts to catch up on is because I was away having my own little guy, named Sam, on March 28! Also a premie - born at 34 weeks 6 days but...

    Jameson Karst Edwards

Wow, BabyDuck - I can see how being a professional yourself might be both a blessing and a curse. But it also is another reason why Jameson is so lucky to have you for a mom - of course, the main reason is all the love, but when you take him home, you'll also have the clinical skills and...

    Little diver to be

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I've been down that road (a few times) myself so I can understand. It's very painful, but time does help. Be kind to yourself.
