Al & Becky are excellent guides.

    Thistlegorm

Go and visit the propeller at 30 metres, it's supposed to be good luck to touch the top of it as my wife is demonstrating, and you won't miss the anti-aircraft gun. Diving this wreck on Nitrox gives you loads more bottom time, so put that on your list of things to do.

Blue O Two always drop us off at The Marriott at the end of a liveaboard, we've always found it good.

Baa Atoll or South Ari Atoll?

We went to Vilamendhoo in 2007 and 2008. The house reef is very good, and with 40 dives under your belt, you and your buddy can dive it anytime you like. Euro divers were very good, sending out up to 3 dhonis each day to different dive sites, including full days out whale watching- the only time...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N4zQEDGj_g We were on MV Blue Honors Legacy for 10 days at the beginning of August 2014. Al and Becki Westley were excellent dive guides, the boat was very good, great food, some dodgy weather. Enjoy the video clip.

    Dive Operations enforcing rules

The Maldives is a great place to dive. The "regulations" have never got in the way of me enjoying over 200 dives there in 7 years staying on 5 different islands and liveaboards.

    Maldives with wheelchair

We have stayed on Vilamendhoo twice, in 2007 and 2008. Eurodivers are a very good organisation- we're diving with them again this year, and depending on how much renovation has been done recently, our experience was the paths were sandy, either a couple of cm, or deeper. We have a friend who is...

Hooray! Having been there half a dozen times, it's about time there was a dedicated board to share the wonder the place.

    Swimming Skills Assessment

I'm not a great swimmer either, I much prefer cycling, especially time trialing for CV fitness, but when I am in the ocean, I've always got mask, fins and snorkle on, and wearing them I can go as far as is required with ease.

How long is your longest dive?

101 mins to a depth of 14m, single 12 litre cylinder, starting pressure 200 bar, finishing on 40 bar on the house reef of a Maldivian island. Lovely!

    Where did you dive today?

Normally I'm sat at home in the UK, maybe heading to Stoney or Gildy for a dive with students, but thanks to the wonders of wi fi I'm sat in Camel saying we had 2 really nice local dives at Ras Katy and Near Garden today. A nice spot was a filamented devilfish or Red Sea Walkman (dive guides)...
