    Mares Volo Or Apollo's ?

If you only have these two choices, go for the volos, may look flimsy but its enough to propel you through the water with twin tanks on. The mares locking mechanism is great but Stainless steel spring heel straps are even better. I think leisurepro has em and they are compatible with mares...

Airtrim - comments from the LDS

Well take it from someone who has had the Mares version of the airtrim and done many dives with it. The valve system is not all that complicated, took mine apart after more than 60 dives and hardly found any crud in it, even after it got dragged in the sand by a not so savvy friend. I figure...

Dacor Tiger vs Mares Volo with its 4 channel thrust technology

In a properly executed Frog kick, I've felt and seen the Quattros which are stiff and long flopping and fluttering about like a vibrating fin and that is just in mild or no current waters.

    Scubapro Knighthawk

I would very much like to get the Knighthawk from you but I currently reside in Singapore, but if that doesn't bother you, I wear an M-sized BC I think. 5"9' and 170 pounds. Geez.. sounds like something out of the personals. How much you willing to sell it for though?

    Scubapro Knighthawk

My LDS offered me a price of 570 USD for a knighthawk without the AIR2. Is this a good price? Anywhere else sells its for cheaper? I checked Leisurepro and DiveINN but they don't carry the model. I just want to check with other Knighthawk owners and prospective buyers on their opinion of...

Which Valves types is standard in Asia ?

Flying with a tank at any pressure besides ambient pressure is a big no no. Anyway, tanks are mainly 99% A-clamp. The few DIN tanks I've seen are usually hooked up to form doubles. My advise is that if you are only going to go diving in Asia, then stick to the A-clamp, the DIN with Adaptor...

    A Ghostly Tale

Wanna hear something funny/macabre/disturbing? There was a guy in my country, he was umm.. "stroking his meat whistle" in front of his computer, surfin some porno, his family came home to find him dead infront of his computer, naked. The coroner diagnosed heart attack. This thing was...

    Buying diving gear in Singapore

If I was in Finland, I would buy online from www.diveinn.com . But if you are really serious about buying here, it's better to check out the price on diveinn first, compare it to the Singapore prices, learn that some items are cheaper while some are more expensive. Perhaps if you gave me an...

    The e-bay SS bolt snaps

Good idea! I think I'll start checking out the local pet shops and see if they have a couple of SS ones. Have to watch for the spring inside though, some manufacturers make the body stainless but the spring inside is just coated lightly and will corrode with time.

Divers in Malaysia: do you have Scopolamine patch?

Went to an ent once, just for the fun of it, apparently he's a diver too.

Divers in Malaysia: do you have Scopolamine patch?

Tried going to the source of the problem instead of treating the symptoms? There might be something that a ENT specialist can do to help you.

Divers in Malaysia: do you have Scopolamine patch?

Clear your mind and watch the horizon... watch the horizon... If that doesn't work.. maybe overloading your senses by going on ride after ride at the amusement park will help. But seriously, have you tried those bands that target the acupressure points?

    Ultrasonic Cleaners Question.

Thanks, your help has been invaluable. Why does your old first stage have a pressure regulator and a relief valve built in, isn't the blow gun enough to vent pressure before you release it from the tank? I'm still having major problems choosing an ultrasonic machine. Check this webpage...
