    Water repellent/quick to dry wetsuits

Hi, I'm looking for a water repellent/quick to dry wetsuit. My first look was on the bodyglove VAPOR, but I've read in the board that bodyglove don't recommend this suit for scuba diving (if i won't find an alternative, this might become a review ;) ) Does anyone have any recommendation...

Oceanic Atom 1 dead - options?

Woooohooooooo! I just got my new and and shiny upgrade! I would like to thank Mark Lane for the great service and patience, he's one of the best support people I had the pleasure emailing with. I was a bit afraid at first to use international mail for replacing the dc, but now that I got it...

Oceanic Atom 1 dead - options?

Hello, The short story is, I was living in the US, bought an Oceanic Atom 1 around February, 2006, now its dead (too alive to be exact, it shows depths I've never went to, looks cool on the dive log though.. ;)). Now I live in Israel, warranty is for 2 years (is it?), what are my options? In...

    Editing software

I love "Raw Therapee" for basic functionality, converting raw to jpeg, noise, sharpening, white balance, crop, etc'. I think its a lot more comfortable for initial image processing. After that - for advanced image editing - GIMP.

    Corrupt-a-Wish

Granted, but you have coprolalia and can't pronounce what you don't want her to do. I wish I could take a few months off and rest for a bit, preferably at the Caribbean.

    Going Pro

Here in Israel I know of a few instructors that don't have a dive shop but will still sell gear if asked, they cut on their expenses by paying the bare minimum and keeping their gear in other dive shops/garage. They can sustain themselves, but I don't know of any "rich" instructors, those who...

    Pool session skills refresh...

Thanks everybody, for the jokes and mostly for the good advice, Pete and John, special thanks for taking this seriously. :-) Alex, I will strive for these skills but so far gear exchange either left some marks in the pool or silted the whole beach.... Fisher, as far as I'm concerned, naked...

'yoke to din' adaptor or 'din to yoke' adaptor

Here's another offer, get the manufacturer's din/yoke CONNECTORS and learn to switch them, it doesn't take much and IMHO its the best solution, yoke for yoke and din for din, can't get any simpler than that. :-)

    DIN to INT

I don't like the adapters, too big and bangs on my head when I'm diving. Get the 1st stage yoke connector and learn to switch them, its usually a wrench and hex key. (although some manufacturers make it hard, but you can get the tools for that job too on the net somewhere). should be around...

    Pool session skills refresh...

Hi, I was thinking the other day to have a nice pool session, just refresh my skills, go over the rusty ones, train on new ones and overall enjoy a hot pool session while the ocean is cold (relatively) outside. :dork2: so... here's a list I could dig up, anyone have advices, improvements, more...

Hi, I don't know if there's anyone here who remembers me, I lived for a couple of years in Florida and it was a great experience. About 6 months ago I moved back to Israel and found myself looking for a store to get some equipment. After all the time I spent here, I've decided to contact...

Thursday Night Beach Dive, 10/19 Howards Place. 7pm

TriMat, its about 200-500 yards swim, going down, swimming around, keep an eye on your own compass to practice your navigation skills. lights should be pointed to the ground, or at someone's chest/feet level, never in their face! But someone will explain to you on the beach to follow a certain...

newbie looking for a dive buddy (Boynton Beach)

JRenee, everyone is going to crucify me for this, but I guess for OW level, it doesn't really matter, almost everyone teaches the same things with different attitudes. IMHO if you're serious about diving, just get the OW course done anywhere but find experienced divers that are willing and have...
