Wow that's a fantastic deal. I was on that same trip in December and it was awesome! I also posted a link to this post on Facebook. Good luck! Here are some photos if anyone is considering this and wants to know what to expect...
I've ordered Dive Rite double lens masks on-line and they seem to fit great. They are good quality and very reasonable compared to other masks and you can return it if it doesn't fit.

Perhaps a small lift bag would do the trick. Many divers carry a lift bag as part of their standard kit anyway. You could inflate it at the surface as needed just like the aforementioned pillow.
The Rocio Del Mar (Mist of the Sea) is a beautiful and well equipped custom built boat designed by divers. Upon boarding, it was immediately apparent that the owners; Captain Lolo and Dora Sandoval, run a tight ship focusing on the safety, comfort, and well-being of their customers.

I read in the FAQ that it's okay to mix different size strobes. Is it okay to mix a traditional strobe used strictly for photography like the DS-125 with a strobe that has video light capabilities such as the DS-161?
Thanks
If you don't mind going a little further than Rhinelander, Lake Metonga over by Crandon is supposed to be pretty nice. Lake Wazee is also a good alternative but it's over by Black River Falls. Have you ever been to Fortune Pond? That's up by Iron River MI. (Crystal Falls to be exact). It's not...
Hello, Does anyone know where I can find a thumb-screw that fits into the bottom of a Bonica Snapper so I can mount it to a tray? I believe the tray is an Ikelite #9523.42 AF35 Dual Tray (IKELITE Pro-V8 LED Video Light).
Thanks,
WW
The Great Lakes has some of the best wreck diving that I have ever seen. The shores of Lake Michigan are peppered with many old wooden ships, some of which date back to the mid 19th century. They are so nicely preserved because of the cold fresh water. Many are very deep but there are plenty...
Great post Ruoska. We do a little ice diving up here in WI too. I noticed one difference is that we cut a triangular shaped hole which makes it easier to get in and out because you can straddle the hole better with your arms.
Here's some pics from the Lake Wazee Ice Diving Social a couple...
I hope it's nice because I'll be there the same week. Maybe the weather gods will shine upon us.
I dove Guanaja this past January and it rained several days that week but the diving was still spectacular.

Another thing to consider is the cruise ships that now visit Bonaire regularly. This cannot be good for the island. That's too many people for such a small island. With big tourism comes more waste.
Sorry, the whale shark only comes out when I am there. So those of you who want to see it will have to pitch in and pay for another trip down for me ;)
Hey Kevin. Thanks for everything. We had a great trip. And seeing that whale shark was definitely an incredible experience. I can't get that image out of my mind. Unfortunately I don't have any pics either but I have plenty of other great shots which I will post when I get some time. I hope to...
Hello,
On a recent trip I found that my camera was failing below 60 feet or so. The camera is in an Ikelite housing and I use a single DS125 strobe for light. When I would ascend above 60', it worked just fine. It must be something related to pressure but I just can't figure out what it might...
Our recent trip to Guanaja was excellent. We stayed at the Villa on Dunbar Rock (Home Page). We flew Delta from Chicago through Atlanta into Roatan. From Roatan we took a boat which was arranged by Denis (the guy who runs the operation on Dunbar Rock). It was big water heading over. The waves...
