Dive Dangers; The Differentiation between "SOLO" and "BUDDY"

I thiny you have assesed it right, except that you have missed out that sixth sense you develop with experience. if you are diving on a regular basis (with or without a buddy) you notice things sub-conciously, just like you do when driving, you also get to know the terrain and the scenarios (oh...

Diving in England - what's it like? What would be realistic expectations?

i tend to agree with you, but you haven't mentioned the interesting tides out brizzol way! a friend used to dive (25 years ago +) out of Swansea and i just can't find anyone else who knows anything about it. She lived there, but no longer does (neither does she dive).

    How old are you?

it's not just an age thing, i am just so fed up with people who have not been diving 5 minutes trying to tell me how to do it. the classic one was i taught someone how to run dives & as soon as he got his book signed he started telling me i had it all wrong.

    How old are you?

i haven't reached the age where i'm proud to have achieved being that old and i hope i've many more things to achieve before i get to that age so i'm going to claim a woman's privilege & be coy about my age:-)

    prepared?? To meet your maker?

actually i have buddied some regular solo divers who, although very safe & technical good buddies, are not enjoyable to dive with because they are so used to diving alone they have lost the technique of doing something fun & sharing it.
