How is the Descent for backcountry navigating? Mapping capability? I hike more than I dive but am intrigued at the idea of having a single device on my wrist to do "all the things!"

Cross posted from CDF: We were there yesterday. It was a gorgeous day and only one other team was there. The park filled in the sink hole at the entrance, so that should help with the traffic flow into the park. Be sure to check out the lightning strike on the pine tree right next to it...

I had a dive buddy with a similar issue. After more digging, the issue started appearing about the same time he bought a new drysuit. Having the same drysuit, I knew it was a lot stiffer than most. He was diving it with almost no gas inside. The dang thing was squeezing his lungs, but he didn't...

Electric Beach was a very pretty dive.

$5 per tank. Bring cash (correct change) and tip at the end of each boat trip rather than saving it all til the end. DMs change, weather changes, etc, so pay as you go. I typically bring two $5s and a $10. For really crappy service, I hand over the $5. This says "NO, I didn't forget to tip."...
