Very interesting thread. The SP Hydros is a nice unit and works for many divers. The BP/W beauty as I see it: It's simple and unclutters the diver especially if it's set up in the Hogarthian way.

Hi: I am thinking about getting the 8" compact dome port for my Ikelite (Nikon D500). I have the full size one but it's difficult to travel with due to its size. I am not that interested in shooting over/under shots. Asking for opinions on this compact port. Appreciate it.

"Is there an instructor crisis?": Yes; paying instructor near minimal wage results in a crisis. In general, I believe that the scuba industry is in crisis. At least in this area of the country it's decaying. Sad.
