    PC Naming of things

FWIW... I am not a "person who dives"... nor am I a "diver"... I am a fish who spends entirely too much time on land. As for the PC naming idea... I've never been a fan of political correctness unless it is to avoid an obvious insult. If you're looking to create an area here that is to be a...

    Hanna the Horrible!

My four year old is named Hannah.... quite appropriate! She often comes barreling through and leaves nothing but a wake of devastation and destruction. :shakehead:

    Shipping gear for a dive

I was hoping to do a weekend (Saturday) dive sometime before winter sets in around Pensacola. My thought was to dive the Oriskany, but I also want to ride my motorcycle down Friday and back Sunday with a buddy, so carrying my gear will probably not be the best idea. Does anyone think that a...

Floridian living in the b'oro of Tennessee

You've got Martha's quarry just east of Nashville. Dale Hollow lake north of Cookeville has designated dive sites where you can dive through the submerged towns. Loch Low Minn is between Chattanooga and Knoxville, as well as, Philadelphia quarry.

    Electricity rates in the Caribbean

I don't disagree at all. Its difficult to explain to folks who don't work here why we have to raise rates and at the same time have to deal with the same problems all the private industries have as well. We too get to see our rates go up and even though I am the guy who runs the units that...

    Electricity rates in the Caribbean

I work for the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority). We supply power to the entire Tennessee Valley region. We have seen increases around here which I thought was high even working for the producer. We received an email from our CEO trying to explain away some of this. It sort of gives us an...

Nektn Cay Sal Bank vs Aggressor to Cocos Island

I haven't been to Coco, but I've done Cay Sal twice (once on the Pilot). The sharks are pretty common to see there. A very impressive shark dive topped it all off. I certainly would go back for a three-peat.

    Dork Divers Manifesto

How about getting a Dork Diver User Group badge? One that would replace the stars or 'supporting member' or 'photographer'. I think that would be a good way for Dork Divers to show their dorkitude.
