converting to B & W saves a lot of shots where your strobe can't reach (e.g. grouips of divers, wrecks, etc.) Actually, I love the look of B&W underwater particularly if the visibility is good- the divers look like they are flying!

Update, housing for DMW-MCFT-2 is now $239 at B & H. Ts2 is $259. So together about $500.00.

Anybody know if the TS2 uses the OLy flash protocol? I am thinking about buying an Oly UFL1 and wondering if it will work with the TS2. I know that the Lumix 4/3 and u 4/3 follow Oly flash protocol (probably LX3/5 as well) but I don't know about the Lumix point and shoots. thanks

Frank, you should be very proud of the results you got especially the movie. Really good considering that was the first time with that set up. Dang, I don't know what it is about lobsters but I have never gotten a good shot of one! Question, is white balance settings (manual) carried over...

I don't think you can manually focus with that housing. There is only one ring gear and that is on the zoom ring (talking about the zoom lenses). Stated anothre way, the housing has only one control knob in the front. Thus, you could use it to control the zoom ring or the manual focus ring...

This has not been my experience. My daughter borrowed my e-pl1. When she brought it back, the rear lens element (kit lens) was badly scuffed. This may have been my fault as I know I put the lens in the photo back pack without the rear cap on more than one occasion. Nevertheless, sent it off...

Turn off the auto focus lock out (not the right term) burried in the menus which will let the shutter trip even if the camera thinks it is not in focus. I wish that housing enabled manual focus.

Reef Rider is a great BC. Best features, back inflation. Two good usable pockets. Large enough for a small housed camera. Just a little weight, one pund each side on the tank band and you float upright at the surface. Packs well, etc. Plastice D rings are a little funky but once you get it...

I haven't seen a thread on the TS2. It can be had for less than $300.00 U.S. and the housing for less than $140.00. Also you don't have to worry if the housing leaks. Small enough for a BC pocket and can use without the housing for snorkeling. Pictures are ok except you can't keep the camera...
