I also recently tried on a new Scubapro Form line wetsuit and like it. I'll probably be getting one soon. I too haven't found much info on the new line.

I would say it depends alot on what you want to shoot. Most comments so far are rather negative and I can understand that view somewhat. But lets take a look closer at what you are asking. If you have never been into underwater photgraphy then maybe its worth a look at getting a cheap underwater...
If you like the Scubapro Knighthawk go with it. I have one and love it, I prefer it to my BP/W as I hate the one piece web harness digging into me on the surface and prefer the comfort of the Scubapro Knighthawk. I find everyone is different and has their own likes and dislikes so I don't...
I'm with Luis and Nemrod... I wouldn't trade my vintage Royal Aqua Master for anything...hands down its far better than my new Scubapro MK17 S550 or any other single hose reg I've tried. Aqualung screwed the pooch with the new Mistral...there is a market out there for good quality double hose...
High 5 to Nemrod...I too just prefer to dive the double hose Royal Aqua Master. Are we crazy...perhaps...no more so than the DIR guys and the 7ft long primary hose. The Royal Aqua Master was built like a tank and continues to perform/outperform most single hose plastic regs of today. Don't...
Hey, I still dive tables...hmmm I also still have and dive one of those horsecollar BC's with the CO2 cartridges an Aqualung Military Calypso BC and have a steel 72 with a working j-valve just back from passing hydro and even have and dive an older Aqualung Royal Aqua Master double hose reg. I...
I am also a big fan of the Scubapro Knighthawk...I own and use one as my primary BC even though I also have a BP/W setup, which seldom gets any use as I just plain prefer diving the Knighthawk. I can't rate the Knighthawk against the Oceanic Excursion as I have never used one but compared to my...
My favorite Back Inflation BCD is the Scubapro Knighthawk. It's been perfect for me and I also have a HOG configured BP/W and while I like it I still prefer my Scubapro Knighthawk...as the webbing of my HOG configured BP/W isn't anywhere near as comfortable or as easy to don and get out of as my...

I think the gal overstepped herself...first she wasn't the guy's instructor...you mentioned she was only a DM...she had no place saying what she did. Second, its just plain rude and unsupportive of her to say such a thing. If I were the guy's instructor I would call her on the carpet and suggest...
I believe you can send the regs to Aqualung America itself. I would just call them and explain the situation...look up their website and find their contact info.

I say shop around before making a major purchase. If the LDS wants your business make them earn it. A little competition is a good thing, you never know it may help weed out the bad/poorly run dive shops from the good ones. Its your money and if you feel ripped off...then its your job to make...
Sounds to me the LDS is gouging you. I would say learn to shop around (even online)...you owe the LDS nothing, and they seem to like your wallet more than you. I think it smells like bait and switch to me...why can't you take the same BCD's you've trained with??? Why do they insist you use a...
I agree that shot blast or brushed aluminum tanks look better longer than any painted tank finish. Paint chips and wears after a time and the finish never looks as nice as the day you bought it. I've switched to shot blast on all my aluminum tanks.

Like a few others have said the Titan is a great reg and will meet most if not all your diving needs. My question is why did you buy it in the first place if you don't want to dive it? There is nothing wrong with the Titan...by the same token there is nothing wrong with a Legend or Apeks series...
I would go in the Navy as you signed and pledged you would. Stand by your word. No doubt Basic training will be tough...its meant to be...but you'll learn more about yourself and what you are capable of if you give it your all and do what you need to get through it. I wouldn't trade my...
