Wanted Suunto boot 100013138 (Vyper Air, Vyper etc)

I like the adjustable otion from the video.. I never thought to do the double knot/loop. I did entwine my compass and my computer together and that is great to have both right there, but the double loop...hmm...

Wanted Suunto boot 100013138 (Vyper Air, Vyper etc)

I pulled my gear out of winter storage and the boot on my Suunto Vyper Air fell apart in 2 pieces. Anyone know a place selling the boot (part 100013138), or converted their computer to a bungee mount and have the old boot available? I prefer the wrist mount for me since I alternate between...

Steel HP80 and HP100 for sale

Good to know on the pricing. FWIW, you can convert the valves. The recommendation I have heard numerous times: if going Yoke, cap at 3k pressure, but if going DIN, then cap at 3442... I have 2 other tanks I converted and have had no issue for 4+ years with that mantra. $110 is pretty impressive...

Steel HP80 and HP100 for sale

Two tanks in great shape. I just have more tanks than I need. I had them Hydro'ed in May, 2016 and they are sitting full of air now (~3400 psi each). DIN valves only currently, but you can get DIN/Yoke valves for around $25 each and convert these to dual use if you want. I bought these new in...

Apeks WTX Harness & Surelock Weight Pouches, Size Med

If anyone asks for a bladder, I have one that I am selling (not selling the otiems you have noted here, just the bladder). If you end up selling the bladder, I would offer a "finders fee". Let me know.

Apeks WTX4 bouyancy cell (bladder) for sale - $150 (+ shipping)

I have an Apeks BP/W setup but am looking at going to a bigger bladder. Therefore, I do not need the WTX4 and am willing to sell. I can ship it or meet in the Malibu/Ventura County area to show/sell. The bouyancy cell is in great shape and had been lightly used/well taken care of. Retail price...

Sea Lions Love Scooters! - Videos

The sea lions were the highlight of the dive day. The puking one is hilarious. When I dropped down, I saw one chomping on a sea star... maybe the same one?! ;) Great sea lion video.

Will a Nitrox card work as a C-Card for most operators?

I would carry the enriched air and the highest dive card you want to carry (eg AOW, Rescue or MSD). I realize you need to be a diver for most of the other cert cards, but I would not carry just my enriched card. Not a big deal to carry 2 cards. In fact.. I took all my other cards and put them...

    Crawling outa the water

Both of you dropped the ball on this. Just regurgitating others' comments, but let's recap: 1) no thorough communication pre-dive. "she put her bc and everything on sitting down, then couldnt stand up.. well, we got her to the water," first clue: if she is having trouble getting in, she very...

Where to do a Divemaster course/internship?

consider Roatan, Honduras. If I were younger and had the freedom to do such an adventure, I would definitely think of Roatan.. It is still relatively cheap, dives are inexpensive, the people are very friendly and the locals understand the tourism value. The govt has also set up a marine park...

Anyone know anything bad or good about Prosub BC's

Never heard of them. I have been diving for around 13 years now in various parts of the world and have not heard of them. Not to say the product is not valid, but I would be weary of using a key piece of equipment (eg vs boots, gloves, etc) with a name I have NEVER heard of. I hope someone else...

    WARNING: Don't use ear plugs!

Ouch.. great write-up, but would recommend divers to realize different people have different reactions. I have dove with VENTED Pro-plugs a number of times and have never had an issue with equalizing. As a precaution though I have always pierced the proplugs with a warmed stitch needle to make...
