No luck. Not sure what laptop you wre looking at but there is nothing above my card reader. I also went to the web site and see no mention of IRDA device Thanks for trying, maybe the device I bought is a dud.

Just checked that out and it sees the newly installed device I have pluged into the USB ports. Prior to that I was looking at specs for my computer an it did say anything about an IRDA device with the computer. Thanks for trying to help me out I really appreciate it

Yes it is a brand new laptop but I do not recall anything about it having IRDA. ACER AS5102. I am working on it we speak

Hi there I just recently upgraded my Air X to an Air Z, what do you need to download dives and settings. I bought an IRDA Kingsun SF-620 USB Infared Adapter, And it does not seem to work, do you have to buy something specfic for the Air Z:confused:
