I just got back from a week long trip over the Christmas break in Grand Cayman. We stayed at the Westin on 7 Mile Beach and did all of our diving with Indigo Divers http://www.indigodivers.com
It was an incredible experience. My family and I (all 4 of us are divers) chartered the boat for 2...
I know this question is simiar to the one here:

But I was hoping to get more then one suggestion.
I don't need 5 star serivce but something that is private for just my family and me.

Thank you MoonWrasse for correcting me.
I have been told that this new version works under Windows XP, whereas the old version did not.
Is it true?
Thanks!
yeah that CD was just about worthless. Other then the videos, the book and the CD are word for word identicle.
There is a new version of the CD out. Make sure you have the new version which I think is 2.0. (I may be wrong) The previous version was 1.2.
I for one am very shocked that you have come back to post. But I am very glad that you did. I have been waiting to hear your replies. We certainly don't want to drive people away. I understand some people are harsh, but think of it as a tough love. Everybody here loves the sport of diving...
This summer during my DM training we had absolutly no access to a pool. So we worked with students in what we called a "COW Pen" Confinined Open Water. Basically it was a ropped area off a beach into the ocean on the island of St. Barths.
I pretty much grew up in a pool. I have always (until I got older) had one in my backyard ever since I could remember. So I naturally love the water and the feeling of being weightless. I also remember ever since I was about 8 that I always wanted to ride my bike in the pool. I don't know...
It is my understanding that the only way a tank can be enriched air certified is if it is always filled by a compressor that can handle enriched air. So if a nitrox tank is ever filled by a normal air compressor then it is no longer enriched air certified.
To get 21% gas in an enriched air...
You know what's funny? I do that on land. Have you ever looked at your watch and then put your arm down. A second latter you're like, "what time is it again?" or if somebody asks, "what time is it?" Then you gotta look at your watch again.
So on land it is called ADD
At depth it is...
Wrongkey,
I am with you on that. I don't own a folding snorkle. I did see a ScubaPro folding snorkel that was smooth inside.
But like I said I have never used or owned one. I typically keep mine on the boat and decide before I get in if I need it.
how about a snorkle like this:

You should also see about getting other opinions from other doctors. There are doctors that are general physicians that specialize in dive medicine. Nothing wrong with getting more then one opinion.
Well obviously if you aren't taking the meds then that is one issue and something you need to deal with.
But also keep in mind there are many other factors with asthma and diving. I know that if you do a search for asthma you will find tons of other threads that talk about staying warm in...
Well first off I am going to have to agree with Fixxervi6.
You have to understand that pretty much the same risks that are involved with Scuba are there with what you are referring to. I know there are a lot of different versions of it... but it is most commonly called SNUBA (SCUBA +...
Well it is that time of the year again when we try to plan our family vacation. My parents wanted to charter a sailboat and dive and do shore excursions, but my sister and I feel like too my time with the parents might drive us all crazy. So I suggested a bigger live-aboard. At least...
I am not a captain but from my expirence I have seen it go both ways. I had a fairly long discussion with a captain about this type of question. For example on the Speigle Grove (and many other sites obviously - just using it as an example) there are a limited number of moorings. So when the...
I know you said you wanted this thread to end. But in the sense of the being dependant on technology. I dive completely digital: depth, time, and hoseless air intergration.
So yes I do have a lot going on this computer that is strapped to my wrist and the transmitter on my 1st stage...
