Diving daytrips FROM San Juan, Puerto Rico
SNORKBOT, its important to note that the Normandie Hotel beach which they mention is where they do their shore dives has very low viz. averaging about 6-8'. Not exactly the best place in PR, but not a bad option either if you are limited to the SJ area.- fjsala

Recommendations?
My wife dives with a Oceanic Alpha 8 PX-3 with DVT, and she really likes how it breaths and its ease. I've tried it as well and think its a great reg for a great prices. The alpha 8 gets two thumbs up from us.- fjsala

Low Volume Masks?
I have a low-volume "Bandit" mask which I love for everything stated above, but I just wanted to add that there is, at least in my opinion & with my mask, one downside ...there is limited visibility when looking "down" as in lokking down at my BC and sreaching through my BC pockets. Both locations that I mention are close to Fort Buchanan and are safe enough that you could explore on your own since you are a DM and both locations are limited to swimming and no motor-sports are allowed.
