    Diving Indonesia

I was in Manado couple of years ago and I was very happy with it. The Bunaken Marine Park is really good. The dive operator I used was called Blue Banter and the guy in charge was Bruce Moore. The dive center was located in the Novotel Hotel (easy to find since there is not a lot of choice in...

    thinking about trying scuba.... but..

Floating can be corrected with the help of the BCD. BCD is acting like a lifevest, keeping you on surface when fully inflated. PADI has a Discovery Scuba program that allows you to try it out and then, if you feel like, to get your OW certification. I think your discovery scuba counts for OW...

    Help about liveaboard!

Another question if I may, I am new to liveaboard and i would like 3 dives a day but some guys said it does not make sense. Main reason is nitrogen retention factor and the fact that the last dive should be too shallow/limited bottom time. The other thing you can do is to limit the first...

    mauritius

Been there two years ago, in January. In the middle of the rainy period, bad luck indeed. I stayed in the Coco Beach resort, on the east coast. Japanese garden and the aquarium are not bad but The Cathedral is a must. Watch for diving equipment quality, I had problems diving with centers...

    Help about liveaboard!

I need info about liveaboard in the Red Sea area, like reliable dive tour operators, sites, worst time of the year to dive there. I am thinking about going to Sudan's water. I understand most of the trips are operated from the Red Sea area. What about piracy? Some people are laughing a lot...

Hi - and any advice out there?

Welcome aboard! Pool sesions are good but they'll never give you the experience of real dive! I strongly advise you to go diving for real even if you dive once in couple of months, in a weekend or so. You'll see the difference!! VV

Please, can you tell me what SAC stands for? I understand it has to do with air consumption but I would like to know how do you measure it. Thanks, VV:confused:

    Safety Stop Dillema....???

Hi Grendel, As you might be aware there are drivers claiming they never had an accident since they took their driving license and one day they end up killing themselfs or God knows who. It is understandable, as far as I am concerned, they they might be tempted to go searching for their...

    PREGNANCY AND DIVING?

Hi Sandra, First of all congratulations for your baby! I think that the scientists made a point, it is dangerous to dive in this condition and it does not make sense to risk to blame youself for the rest of your life if the baby should be harmed. I am sure that if you want to continue to...

    Solo Diving

Walter, maybe you've been to hard on him (as well as he might have been a little extremist in his oppinion). I would not like to transform recreational diving into something it was not ment to be. We are speaking about people who want to enjoy, people who do not find an equivalence between...

    South Africa/Mauritius

I thought that I posted a replay to your last post but it looks like something went wrong. As far as I know the dive centers are organizing 2-3 dives a day. One of them should be an easy one. As you will see in the book there are a lot of yasy dives/locations. n the other hand you find also...
