    Information on deleted post

oh I dont disagree with its their forum, I just found it ironic that my post directly responding to a staff member was deleted but then the same type of post remained. Since we do not get notification of who removed it, It appeared possible that the quoted person may have removed it for hurt...

    Who is diving after Covid?

Diving with Covid should be the same as diving with any other illness....If you are congested don't dive. If you have trouble breathing don't dive. Covid in itself should not be dive prohibitive (outside of exposure control), but common sense should be used regarding any symptoms you may have...

    Information on deleted post

I would like to speak to a Senior admin or moderator about a post removal. I have a suspicion that the person that I responded to (staff member) deleted my post and yet the staff members "off topic" post remains.

    Had my first diving scare

You are talking about the feeling of being cold versus the physiology of being cold. You might not feel cold, but that doesn't mean your body is not reacting to low temperatures by shunting blood from your peripherals and moving it to your core. Cold blood when in the brain can cause a shock to...

Si Tech Quick Neck Seal/Ring - Is it Comfortable???

A tip for those who install these. Take and hang up on a heavy duty hanger with a piece of cardboard over the top to simulate your shoulder arch. I then hung mine up and added just a bit of heat to allow the circle to bend into a more natural shape. I let it stay like this for a few days in my...

Replaced Latex Drysuit neck seal with Si-Tech Quick Neck

If mine were that small I wouldn't be able to get my big head through it. I was very lucky that I almost didn't have to cut anything. I could have probably folded it back a bit with some relief cuts but figured it was just as easy to trim it the little bit that was required. I could have...

Replaced Latex Drysuit neck seal with Si-Tech Quick Neck

As you can see from second picture it is a tight fit to the seal. The reason is i had to trim back about 1/4 inch of the suit neck area all the way around to be able to gain full access to the deal ring channel. I took a brand new sharp razorblade and just ran it slowly around the ring channel...

Replaced Latex Drysuit neck seal with Si-Tech Quick Neck

It was, but you still need to use the glue as a base due to mine being a bi-laminate so I would have had to still buy that.

Which family of drygloves is the best?

Although no the popular choice it seems, I actually really like my S-tech rings. I use their glove system as well and find it very easy to take off by myself even when cold and wet. The only issue I had was the under gloves had to cut off some length near the wrists as not to get caught when the...

Replaced Latex Drysuit neck seal with Si-Tech Quick Neck

For anyone looking to replace your neck seal on your drysuit but have been nervous to do so, this is for you. I was in the same situation, and the repair shop said it would be 6-8 weeks to get it back as they ship out. I want to get a few more dives in this year so I decided to do it myself. In...

    Deepest ever emergency swimming ascent?

I guess im of the opinion, who cares how deep of a CESA someone else can do.....My concern is what depth im gonna be able to do it in a OOA situation. Its great someone else can do it from 100+ feet, if me or my buddies cant do it when needed. Some records are made NOT to be broken.

    Gaiters

I also had the floaty feet feel when i first started DS diving, I love my fins, and come to find out they are positively bouyant which causes my feet to float up, allowing more air into the legs. which compounded things. What i did to find out how bouyant my fins where (which might be the case...
