Looking for a Dive Buddy 7/7 Minneapolis Area

Hi there, I'll be out in Minneapolis for business and have the late afternoon/evening available for diving. I'm thinking about renting gear at Scuba Center and then head to Square Lake. I'm a DM with over 400 dives (mostly shore dives in SoCal). Would be happy for a local to join and any...

    Visiting NC

Hi everyone, I'm heading to NC and am hoping to get some dive-related info. My wife and I will be in Oak Island the week of 4th July and so far we booked a trip to the Liberty Ship with Aquatic Safaris on 7/5. Unfortunately, all the other trips are booked already and we wouldn't mind getting one...

New diver going to San Diego

Congratulations on your OW certification. San Diego has many dive opportunities. Given your skill level, I would recommend a day trip to the Coronados Islands or to the kelp beds. More suitable for you, and if you prefer shore diving, you're best bet would be La Jolla Cove. Let me know what you...

San Diego in Sept, where to stay?

Good for your to branch out. San Diego has a lot to offer to divers. You may also want to look into a day trip to the Coronados Islands. Most boats do half-day trips to wreck alley or kelp beds, so you may be able to do wrecks and kelp dives in one day if you're up for diving a lot. On a few...

Heading to Hawaii for the first time...Need Advice...

You definately don't want to miss the Manta Ray night dive while in Kona. It's a boat dive and I can recommend Wanna Dive. Steve is running a great boat and has a perfect crew. Plus, since it's a smaller boat, they can tend to your preferences much easier than the bigger operations. I had a...

What Wetsuit for Hvar, Croatia End of June?

Current surface temps are 68 degrees Fahrenheit and are ususally around 71-73 in June and July. Sounds like the 5 mm will be fine. I'd bring the hood just in case esp for multiple dives in one day. Have fun, Gerald

Planning a trip to San Diego 9/6-9/13 What to do?

You can rent tanks on Catalina at the dive park from Catalina Divers Supply. If you go there during the week make sure to contact them ahead of time to confirm hours of operation. Humboldt, Marissa and Lois Ann are all excellent boats to explore the local wrecks or kelp beds. A trip to the...

Diving in the Czech Republic, am I crazy?!?!

Try contacting one of the local dive shops in Prague like Divepoint or Happy Divers. I'm sure they know all about local spots. Good luck and let us know about the underwater world there.

DEMA FINDS: Art to Media - 3D Dive Maps

I picked up their 3D maps for the Yukon and the Catalina dive park at the last DEMA show in Vegas and I love them. They are very helpful for students getting oriented underwater.

    Help...Please...Looking at going to Hawaii

I'd recommend Wanna Dive which is a small six-pack operation. I dove with them last December and had some of my most memorable dives with them. Capt Steve and his crew are very knowledgable about dive sites and critters and I'll go back in a heartbeat. I also dove with Jack's Diving Locker two...

    new diver...

There's Lake Tahoe. I did my altitude cert there and it was much better than my other alternative Lake Perris which is a mudhole. I dove at Sand Harbor State Park which is perfect for beginners but as always you're probably best of diving with someone experienced with the local conditions.
