    Diving the Oriskany

Hi Rebreathe, So far I've never dived in United States but I am trying to put together a trip to dive the Oriskany. So far we're 3 divers and I understood that I'd need to find 3 more in order to charter a boat. Finding the divers is not too difficult, the problem is to be able to get a date...

    Diving the Oriskany

thanks for you reply. Doing deco on EAN80 or higher is not a problem for us, we are trained for that and have the corresponding certification. But most important, since Mediterranean dives are deep dives, we regurlarly dive using a pony with EAN80 so it is something really familiar to us.

    Diving the Oriskany

the French CMAS*** diver has no equivalent to Divemaster since we cannot "guide" any divers. We are entilted to dive with other *** divers with no depth limit. Knowing that the common reasonable depth for air diving in France is 200 ft. Although most divers limit themselves to 165ft with air and...

    Diving the Oriskany

thanks for the info guys the remaining question is "will a CMAS***" be allowed to do a somewhat tech dive". Here in France and Europe yes, but over in the states, I know that most require somekind of Tech certification to allow such dives. I'll drop by the deep dixie divers to see what the...

Algarve - Lagos to Sagres Diving Recommendations???

hi there, I don't know the dives around Burgau but I went diving further east off the town of Armaçao de Pera. We did not go too far off the coast and the sea bed was mostly rock and sand and about 20m deep. Not much fish life around there but the paraside for nudibranchia.

    Scuba diving in the Azores

Porto Santo is in the Madeira Achipelago not in the Azores archipelago which is much further west in the middle of the Atlantic. I have a couple of friends who went there last june, they were in Machico. The water was around 20° with typical atlantic fish but nothing big except a few eagle...
