Socal Divers 1st trip to Grand Cayman, Belize & Cozumel

It was Nate according to the dive operator. Literally 2 weeks before we got there it was blown over onto its port side. Now sitting just great from the reef. They actually like the change, seems much more like wreck now. Thanks for watching.

Diving in the "Good Old Days!"

I grew up in Santa Barbara area in the 60's and 70's. Our next door neighbor was a young, stock broker who owned a 20ft boat and was into scuba and spear fishing. He would come home with huge rock fish and large abalone. We enjoyed many meals from him. In my early adult years (80’s), I made...

Report: Catalina Dive Park Kelp May 15, 2015

Yes, I did wear a 7mm suit as always and was very comfortable. The only change I usually make is to dive without a hood in the late summer and fall.

Report: Catalina Dive Park Kelp May 15, 2015

My wife and I went to Catalina this last Friday to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and she insisted I take the opportunity to dive the Park, what great wife! I had heard the place was pretty barren as far as the kelp was concerned. I found one small stalk that I thought was the sole survivor...
